BIG GAME HUNTER has had his recent Clonmel disqualification reversed and his form in Graded races last term are evidence that a race of this nature is well within his compass. The hat-trick seeking Persian Gayle is an obvious threat, as is easy Roscommon winner Steeltown. Macville and Bideford Legend step up from handicaps, while former smart Flat performer Drumfire could improve for this stiffer test of stamina.
Drumfire created a good impression when chasing home Universal Truth on hurdling debut at Galway and is worth another chance to build on that promise. The progressive pair of Steeltown and Lucy Stone look set to place.

Last year's winner Let Yourself Go is expected to prove hard to catch once more but he could struggle to concede weight to British raider CORNAS, who acquitted himself well against some of the best two-milers around before departing when still travelling well in this event 12 months ago. Nicanor is definitely not the force of old and only got as far as the first at Navan, but this enigmatic nine-year-old still possesses plenty of talent and can't be dismissed lightly.
Cornas sets a decent standard in this Grade 3 chase and Nick Williams British raider should have too much for Let Yourself Go. Cruising Katie looks the most solid of the remainder.

IKANSEA was bang in contention when coming to grief at Navan recently and providing that experience hasn't left any lasting scars, she can gain some compensation. Rockazar is the form horse coming into the race and beat all bar the well-treated Salute Him off a 6lb lower mark at Listowel. Giant Sequoia also filled the runner-up berth on his latest outing - at Killarney in August - and Quai Du Roi merits respect as well, having kept his hand in on the Flat since a third at Bellewstown.
Rockazar and Giant Sequoia look the two to focus on in this handicap, with the former just preffered on account of its more solid jumping. Jackieandy is taken to chase them home.

Gimil's Rock wasn't sighted at Listowel last time but had justified favouritism at Ballinrobe prior to that and had Son Amix 10 lengths back in fourth when scoring at the Punchestown Festival. However, a chance is taken on the potential of SWEET MY LORD. Willie Mullins thought enough of his four-year-old to pitch him into the Grade 1 won by Barizan in April (Cross Appeal a well-beaten fifth) and even though he only got as far as the fourth flight, he remains an excellent prospect for the forthcoming campaign.
Son Amix was the amongst the leading juveniles in Ireland last term and he should take all the beating if fully wound up. Cross Appeal and Politeo have the benefit of a recent outing behind them and look the biggest dangers.

For A Finish has been in good heart over fences this season and is interested returned to hurdling on what look to be his optimum conditions. Tulachsarain and Super Daisy make most appeal of the remainder.

Warne would have claims if bouncing back from a disappointing latest outing while Total Excitement is a decent hurdler and warrants plenty of respect on his chasing bow. The one to beat, however, appears to be UNCLE JUNIOR. A smart novice hurdler who wasn't beaten far on his opening two chase starts, he returned from over two years off with a promising close-up second at Listowel last month and he is expected to come on for that pipe-opener.
Uncle Junior would have gone close but for a blunder on his recent comeback, but he is prone to mistakes and instead it may pay to side with Mr Cracker, a chasing type who was as good as any of these over timber and should be fit following an outing 15 days ago. Orpen Guama has place prospects.
