Clarach didn't appear to see out the extended 2m5f trip when turned over at skinny odds at Sedgefield last time and should be more effective back at 2m, but DIPITY DOO DAH is fancied to land the spoils on her debut over timber. The six-year-old comfortably landed a 'bumper' at Market Rasen last month and Peter Bowen is sure to have her well schooled. Ixora ran a cracking race at Kilbeggan latest and warrants respect on her first run for new connections.
Silver Gypsy easily landed a gamble for her previous yard in a bumper at Fakenham in April and can get her hurdling career off to a winning start. Clarach should play a leading role if her Sedgefield flop was a one-off, while Ixora also holds claims on her first start for Jamie Snowden.

This son of Presenting looks extremely versatile as far as trip and ground conditions are concerned and he won with enough in hand at Perth last time to suggest that he can defy a further 10lb rise. Chevy To The Levy won gamely at Hereford latest and rates the biggest threat along with Nicky Henderson's chasing debutant, Prince Du Beury.
Cappagh has got his act together in recent outings and is a leading player following a successful start over fences last month, but both Prince du Beury and Sonny Mullen are capable of figuring judged on hurdles form provided they take to the larger obstacles, and the latter is preferred.

Bens Moor confirmed promise shown in a point-to-point win landing a 'bumper' at Folkestone in March (second won since) and he is entitled to go close on his hurdling debut this afternoon but another hurdling debutant, MEDIOLANUM, edges the vote. He was bought for 100,000-pounds out of Charlie Swan's yard after landing a 'bumper' at Killarney five months ago and his stable have been banging in the winners recently. The more experienced Silver Token isn't without claims.
An intriguing contest in which Silver Token sets a solid standard on his 2009/10 form, but Mediolanum looks a smart prospect and can take this on his hurdles bow. Bens Moor is another hurdling newcomer worth considering.

HARRY TRICKER is by the far the highest rated of the field over hurdles and made a successful fencing debut when scoring cosily at Fontwell in the race in which Pepe Simo's fencing fell apart. His second to Khyber Kim in the 2009 Greatwood Hurdle amply reflects his talent and a clear round should suffice. Quedillac finished third in that Fontwell race but a 7lb pull should not be enough to reverse placings. Blacktoft and Mam Ratagan are perfectly consistent over fences but usually find one or two too good.
Harry Tricker needs to brush up his jumping, but was the best of these over hurdles and should be able to take this, although National Trust has the physique to jump a fence and is respected for the in-form Twiston-Davies yard.

Marc Aurele looks feasibly treated on his handicap return after making all in a novices' event latest and Exulto is another expected to prove popular in the betting after he returned to form when picking up the silver medal at Stratford last month, but is could pay to give another chance to POINTS OF VIEW. The selection was bidding for a four-timer when his winning run came to an end in a competitive event at Market Rasen latest but he remains on an upward curve and a 1lb drop in the handicap could allow him to regain the winning thread today.
Gloucester doesn't win as often as he should these days, but he has fair prospects of getting the race run to suit here with a few front-runners in the line-up and he is worth chancing. Exulto and Rio Gael will be waiting in the wings if he disappoints.

Calypso Bay improved markedly to fill the runner-up spot when upped to 3m last month but a 5lb rise in the handicap leaves him with no margin for error and the preference is for SADDLEWOOD, who ran well for a long way before fading into third late on when tried over 3m2f last week. PONTYATES has improved with each outing to date and he is taken to go one better than his runner-up finish over 2m1f at Market Rasen last month. Peter Bowen's charge wasn't beaten far by a stablemate that day and, with further progress possible, he looks the one to beat. Sothisisit has shown ability in his two starts but the bigger threat is expected to be posed by Youralltalk, a point-to-point winner who has filled the runner-up spot on both starts under NH rules so far and handles cut in the ground.
Youralltalk, Pontyates and Sothisisit have all run to a level that will enable them to make their presence felt in a race of this nature, but it may be worth siding with the Tim Vaughan-trained newcomer Sertao.
