Vico has shown promise on both of his starts over hurdles but may ideally prefer 3m so a chance is taken on HONG KONG HARRY. Alan King's representative disappointed when last sighted, pulling up at Sandown, but is better judged on his preceding effort over this trip when a staying on second at Ascot - his first run for almost a year. Bunglasha Lady opened her account (under Rules) at Towcester earlier in the month and is another to consider.
A competitive novice to open proceedings. Cresswell Crusader made a most encouraging start over hurdles at Lingfield recently and may prove too strong for Vico and Bunglasha Lady. Lost Two Stars and Hong Kong Harry are by no means out of this either.

AS DE FER has benefited from the return to the larger obstacles and arrives here in search of a hat-trick. Anthony Honeyball's progressive five-year-old is unexposed over the trip and fancied to extend his winning sequence. Fruity O'Rooney has finished runner-up on each of his last three starts and although this drop back in trip boosts his chances of being able to dominate, the presence of fellow frontrunner Sarando might not. Classy hurdler Pouvoir has had injury problems in the past but is capable of making his presence felt having opened his account over fences earlier in the season.
As de Fur has taken to fences like a duck to water and is fancied to complete a hat-trick, possibly at the chief expense of Fruity O'Rooney.

PETE THE FEAT has been raised 4lb for his heavy ground win at Folkestone last month but is still only 9lb higher than when making a winning start to his chase career in December and may feasibly have more to offer. Quel Bruere is handicapped to be be competitive but has filled the runner-up spot twice this season and may again have to settle for a supporting role, while Rateable Value is another that continues to hit the crossbar but shouldn't be too far away. C&D winner Swainson landed a 0-90 here last time but needs to raise his game to follow up now raised in grade.
Quel Bruere and Rateable Value have been racking up plenty of seconds between them of late and should be thereabouts again, with the former perhaps getting his head in front this time. Pete The Feat must enter the reckoning as well given the form he's in.

CELESTIAL HALO battled Mille Chief all the way to the line in the Kingwell Hurdle at Wincanton last weekend and showed he is no back number just yet. Paul Nicholls' charge gets 4lb from his main rival Karabak and that swings the pendulum in his favour. The latter disappointed last time when behind the selection at Cheltenham but is better judged on his preceding efforts in Grade 2 company, chasing home the useful Silviniaco Conti at Ascot and then winning the Relkeel Hurdle in December. Trenchant makes his seasonal bow but landed Grade 2 honours last term and isn't without a hope if wound up to go.
Celestial Halo and Karabak look the pair to focus on, with the former taken to confirm his most recent superiority over his old rival after going with all his old zest at Wincanton last week.

ORNAIS returned from a long lay-off when fifth in a hunters' chase at Wincanton earlier in the month but is lightly raced for his age and capable of improving beyond most of these rivals. He holds an entry in the Grand National and is taken to score here. Horsham Lad returned an impressive winner at Bangor on his last start under Rules and may not have finished improving just yet, while Herons Well performed credibly over 3m at Ffos Las when last sighted and shouldn't be too far away again.
This should rest between Ornais and Herons Well. The former showed he retains plenty of ability on his recent hunter debut, and has to be the call with that behind him.

Things seemed to click into place for DUNE SHINE when upped to this trip last time and, unexposed over the distance, Oliver Sherwood's charge is fancied to follow up off a 5lb higher mark. Beside The Fire looks competitively weighted and has shown promise over both 2m and 3m so is expected to be fully effective over this intermediate distance. Sawago finished well held on his debut for Gary Moore here earlier in the month but isn't one to write off just yet and a market check is advised.

Destroyer Deployed made a winning NH debut in a Towcester bumper earlier this month and he is the obvious starting point, but defying a penalty in these contests is never easy and it could pay to take him on with CAMAS BRIDGE. Emma Lavelle's representative shaped nicely on his only run between the flags last year and he looks a likely contender here. Traditional Bob and Vincentian are also considered with Camelloe an interesting debutante.
Destroyer Deployed showed a good attitude to win at Towcester and looks much the best of those to have raced. The biggest dangers could turn out to be the unraced pair Camas Bridge and The Gurner.
