This looks a good opportunity for HURRICANE GEORGIE to blast home. She has been placed in her last couple of maiden hurdles and got closer to the breakthrough when last seen in Sligo. The Court Cave filly kept on well to get to within half a length of the winner. Hophornbeam has picked up prize money in her last three races, however, she was eight and a half lengths adrift of Hurricane Georgie in third at Sligo. She has a pull in the weights due to her jockey's claim, but improvement would still be required to overturn that form.

HYMIE WEISS relished better ground in Kilbeggan and should make his mark. He failed by a nose that day but was awarded the race in the stewards' room, however, a subsequent appeal saw the original result stand so he is able to race in maiden company again. Gateau De Miel put in an improved display when chasing home the winner over a similar trip in Tramore. This ground is an unknown but he appears to be a big player. Branson Missouri couldn't justify favouritism in Tramore. Her point-to-point victories came on rain-softened ground so these conditions may not be ideal.

FAVORI LOGIQUE can follow up on his Roscommon success. He was runner-up in his two previous visits to this track before staying on well to get off the mark in Roscommon. There ought to be more victories to be had with the six-year-old gelding. City Limits hasn't been seen in over a year and has switched to Gearoid Patrick Brouder. He was in decent form in August last year, so the market should be a guide to expectations. Gavin Brouder's claim will be a help on this comeback run. Ruler Of Dubai popped up at 20/1 at the last meeting in Downpatrick. Ryan Treacy gets a tune out of him so the pair could have a say off a mark of 91.

CORRAN CROSS appeals on racecourse debut over fences. He is a former point-to-point winner for Denis Murphy back in November 2019. Denise Foster sent him across the Irish Sea to win his maiden hurdle at Perth in June, and you would imagine he has been well schooled for this assignment. Jordan Gainford's 2lb claim in this opportunity race is a bonus. Battle Of Actium had a sight of fences when third in a beginners' chase at Roscommon. He attracted support which would imply schooling had gone well. He has to rate a threat. Politicise was placed in one of his two chases and has the ability to get in the mix. Little Brother was far from outclassed in his first steeplechase at Tramore. Seanbhothar is in good hands and is likely to jump better than he did when departing at Tramore.

Jockey Mike O'Connor has been enjoying his trips to Downpatrick and could get another winner with SANI PASS. This seven-year-old mare was last seen finishing runner-up at Tramore in mid-August.
