Noel Lawlor appears to have found a great opportunity for KARKARI to open his account. He looks to be getting the hang of things over hurdles and only found one too good over C&D last time. Black Rock Lake (third), Katys Girl (fourth) and Connemara Kate (fifth) were all in behind the selection on that occasion and it's difficult to see how any of them can turn the tables. None of the others make much appeal.
It's difficult to look beyond Karkari, who shouldn't have much trouble confirming recent C&D placings with Black Rock Lake and Connemara Kate in what looks a weak race.

RED TIGER looks the one to beat on his hurdling debut. The form of his bumper success over 2m4f at Listowel last month has been boosted by the second winning since and this extra yardage is unlikely to cause any problems. Good Time Donie returns to timber following a couple of solid placed efforts in bumper events and is expected to ask most questions, while Iveagh House may improve for his comeback run at Sligo 16 days ago (first run since November last year) and cannot be overlooked.
Good Time Donie sets a reasonable standard, but the fairly useful bumper performer may well be up to the job on hurdling debut. Iveagh House is another to consider.

Coosan Belle has filled the runner-up spot on her last couple of starts and should be in the thick of the action once more while Rory's Sister, another who has been knocking on the door recently, is certainly no forlorn hope.

Point-to-point and hurdle winner LETS GO SUNSHINE made a promising start to his chasing career when runner-up over 2m6f at Tramore nine days ago and, sure to know a lot more about the game now, he can go one better. Equation emerged with much credit when third at Fairyhouse last week and he rates the biggest threat, while Tarkani readily landed a hurdle race at this venue on his penultimate outing and cannot be left out of calculations back over fences.
Golden Grimshaw will be a danger to all if jumping proficiently on his debut over fences, but Lets Go Sunshine made a good shape over the obstacles when second on his first start in a chase at Tramore and can put that experience to good use here. Equation could be the one for the forecast.

THIEVING GYPSY disappointed on her recent reappearance at Gowran Park but looked a certain future winner when making a debut full of promise at Punchestown back in May, finishing third to Bullock Harbour, and she looks worth another chance for a Jessica Harrington stable than continues in good form. Alternatively, Jakros shaped really well when second on his recent return to action and looks an obvious player again along with Kilbeggan runner-up Emmas Island and point-to-point winner Hang Up My Boots others of interest.
Jakros sets a good standard in what is a very ordinary bumper and it will be disappointing if he can't go one better than at Tipperary with Nina Carberry on board. Emmas Island and Thieving Gypsy look the biggest dangers.
