CHOCKLIT E CLARE barely went a yard in a better event on turf last time but she is fancied to bounce back now returned to dirt. Jean's Beauty also gets back on her favoured surface and is worth noting, along with Passing Pfast.
Those that have been running lately haven't been showing much and the two most interesting runners are returning from lay offs. DYNAMIC POINT didn't show a lot in a much better maiden at Mountaineer on his only start but can open his account here. Chili Bean is the chief threat, while Nothing Fancy can make the frame.
The penny suddenly dropped with IT'S MACARONI at Gulfstream in the spring. A maiden success in March was followed by another comfortable victory in April. She has been given a short break since and rates a confident selection on her return. Sweet Butterfly looks the main danger ahead of Chesapeake Spring.
The quartet that have had one race may improve here here but as things stand, they don't appear to be up to much. All the three newcomers are worth a market check, but HOLIDAY GIFT and Queen Fiddle go for trainers who win regularly with newcomers. The former gets the vote, with Gala's Bank next best.
HALO NATION went straight into the notebook when a fast finishing third on debut at Penn National. That experience will have brought him on plenty and he is taken to score. Chiropractor and Eye Of The Moon are the pick of the opposition.
WINTER'S CHILD arrives seeking the hat-trick and she has four lengths to spare over G's Backinaction last time, who in turn was miles ahead of Lodi Lion. She will take the world of beating, while Melody Pomeroy holds solid place claims.
TETRADRACHM looks highly likely to get an uncontested lead here and will likely prove tough to peg back. Like a few of these, he is returning from a break so his fitness has to be taken on trust. Procurement and Fredericksburg aren't opposed lightly and merit respect.
ETRUSCAN was below his best at Keeneland in October after a fine debut effort a fortnight earlier. He has been working nicely on the practice track and is worth another chance on his return. Interest Rate Swap ran well for a long way at Philadelphia last month and is feared most ahead of King's Obsession.
WORD RACER arrives hunting the hat-trick following ready successes at this venue in recent weeks and he is tough to oppose in his current vein of form. Puget Sound and Uncle Carm are others to consider.
