Eminent Tale warrants plenty of respect on his first start since March last year, but race-fitness could just give PERSON OF INTEREST the edge. Richard Dutrow's charge ran a cracker to finish third over track and trip last time and must go close if in the same mood tonight. My Man Marty certainly isn't out of it either.
DIAMOND DISTRICT ran out an easy winner over 6f here last time and, already proven at this longer distance, he gets the vote to follow up. Stud Muffin is taking a significant drop in class and ought to figure prominently, while Secret Getaway is another that cannot be left out of calculations.
FANTASY OF FLIGHT displayed a high level of ability in three starts last year and will prove difficult to beat on this seasonal reappearance if anywhere near peak fitness. Holiday Flare looks to be her biggest danger from the other Todd Pletcher runner, Giant Sensation.
GRANBY GIRL has found only one too good in both career starts so far, missing out by just a nose over this track and trip earlier in the month, and it looks only a matter of time before she is off the mark. Ashcraft Silver is the pick of the John Good-trained duo, while Siberian Wildcat has also shown enough to be of interest.
APTPHILLY has Sasta Go Lucky back in third when winning here last month and although that rival has subsequently let the form down, James Jerkens' filly looks one to follow at present. Miss Tequila and Freud's Notebook have their sights lowered a little and both are expected to find improvement on recent efforts.
SALLY'S DREAM has been knocking hard on the door of late and looks to have been found a good opportunity to open her account this evening. Class dropper Stock Fund is feared most with Royal Suspicion another worth a second look.
A tricky puzzle for punters to solve but a decent case can be made for AMERICAN CLASSIC, below par in stronger company last time but a good winner here previously. Perfect Drive is consistent and should figure again along with No Detour and Cantrushperfection.
Be Bullish won well enough last time but he doesn't look the most straightforward and DR DISCO could prove a tough nut to crack eased in grade. The selection failed to produce his best latest but had been in sparkling form previously and can boast a fine record at this venue. The consistent Freudian Dilemma is another to consider for any combination bets.
FIFTYFIVEFIFTYFIVE has improved with every outing so far, finishing a close-up third over 6f here earlier in the month, and she shouldn't be too inconvenienced by this slightly shorter trip. Hooked On Dreams and Speeding On By are both on respective recovery missions but neither can be ruled out with confidence.
