More Than A Reason got the better of Bebob over a mile here last month and there is no reason to expect a form reversal but JUDGE WILLIAM recorded a cosy success in a decent contest at Belmont and appears to have an outstanding opportunity to follow up here.
GRIFFEN AVENUE shaped with promise when runner-up on her debut over 5f at Calder last month and with that experience under her belt she can go one better this time. What A Pear is an interesting newcomer as she has shown plenty of speed in her workouts but Dixie Time Thief has the form in the book and could be next best.
Good Card has been performing with credit in some decent events and he could make an impact at this level but preference is for SHOPTATE who has been off the track for a while but looked a really useful sort when winning over six and a half furlongs at Belmont in July. Hat-trick seeking Austin Laviva Baby is another with solid credentials.
Federal Deposit has shown promise in his workouts and is a newcomer to consider. Round Bar has some solid place form at this level but DARK OPS can make it third time lucky. He stepped up on his debut effort with a solid runner-up effort over C&D last time and this looks a slightly weaker contest.
BUBBA GUM has been running well in a higher grade in recent months and the drop to this level could be just what he needs to return to winning ways. Akebono is a solid performer and could be the one to give him most to think about. Americanus receives weight all round and should not be overlooked.
Storm Door sets the standard on the form of his debut third and, with improvement to come, he should be in the mix. However the coupled pair SOBHY and Naos have been shaping well in their recent workouts and marginal preference is for the former who looks the first string on jockey bookings.
Stormie Gray stepped up on her debut effort to finish third at Belmont last time and she probably sets the standard. However, CANARDLY was not able to show what he is capable of on his debut and is likely to be capable of much better this time. Tapit's Brew has shown signs of ability and could also be involved.
Alexandros just scraped home over a mile here last month and he warrants respect but it might be safer to stick with the hat-trick seeking SEE MORE SPIRIT who is really progressive and might have more to offer. Tizbag has solid claims on his best form and could add value to combination bets.
Nkosi Reigns has been knocking on the door but he might have to wait a little longer if WESTERN DEED can reproduce the form of his second place in a higher grade over a mile here last time. Classic Impact is another taking a drop in grade and he must be high on the list at this level.
