Orange Diamond appeared to idle when just holding on to deny Royal Rhythm over C&D. A 6lb rise is unlikely to prevent another bold display, but it could be worth taking a chance on GHASHAM. Dan Skelton's new inmate has posted several creditable efforts in defeat over hurdles this year and a change of scenery could help eke out the necessary improvement. The returning Rock On Tommy merits respect as well.

Having scored in a canter on his stable bow for James Owen at Fontwell recently, it's difficult to get away from SHANTOU LUCKY. The eight-year-old escapes a penalty for winning that conditional jockeys' event and he is sure to prove a warm order to follow up. Diamond Geezer proved more competitive on his second-placed handicap bow at Uttoxeter back in November and may serve the most resistance to the selection, ahead of Sassified.
