DUNBRODY HOUSE could prove difficult to beat on his return to NH rules. Representing an in-form Peter Bowen stable, he should arrive full of confidence having notched up three point-to-point victories recently and remains well treated on his best form over timber. Civil Servant is a fairly in-and-out performer but is sure to go close if on a going day, while Fly Direct, another who has been in fine form between the flags, cannot be ruled out either.
With recent form under Rules in short supply, this is perhaps best left to those who've been competing with credit between the flags, with Fly Direct preferred to Dunbrody House and Miss Midnight.

GLEN GYLE confirmed promise shown between the flags when bolting up in similarly testing ground on his debut in this sphere at Hexham 17 days ago and, entitled to have learnt a great deal from that experience, he gets the vote to defy a penalty. Other last-time-out winner Sir Benfro looks an obvious danger, while Best Excuse was much improved over C&D the last day and has definite claims if progressing again.
Glen Gyle had plenty in hand when justifying market support on last month's bumper debut and is taken to follow up. Best Excuse and Sir Benfro are the obvious pair to chase him home, though market support for Catch Me Up would also make him of interest on debut for Seamus Durack.

Pearls Legend has been placed in both starts over timber thus far and looks sure to be in the shake-up once again, but Tim Vaughan's Irish import LATEST TREND is fancied to deliver the goods. The six-year-old has shaped encouragingly both in this sphere and in a bumper in recent months and showed he doesn't mind cut in the ground when third between the flags at Affane last year. Persian Herald also looks worth a place on the shortlist.
A race lacking strength in depth, and it is hard not to see the winner coming from one of Pearls Legend, Latest Trend and Persian Herald, with the trio preferred in that order.

Commanche Dream commands respect on the back of his gritty 2m4f victory at the track, while Free Advice bounced back to form in first-time cheekpieces at Ffos Las latest and could mount a bold bid if they have a positive effect again.
Come What Augustus is a 15-time point winner and went close on his most recent Rules start, so is preferred to Newton Abbot winner Billy Blade and Free Advice.

Changing The Guard should give another good account providing his two performances during the last ten days haven't taken their toll, but RED RIVERMAN is marginally preferred. Nigel Twiston-Davies' gelding won nicely on his handicap debut over 2m1f at Market Rasen last month and a 7lb hike in the ratings may not be enough to stop him following up. Dormouse has won and been placed in two starts when teaming up with McCoy so that pair are difficult to overlook.
Quite a trappy contest in which several may have more to offer. Changing The Guard has been running well recently and is given the nod to get his head in front again despite slight concerns about the ground. Conversely, Direct Flo should find the extra test of stamina over this minimum trip a positive and rates a danger, as do likely improvers Red Riverman and Marie Des Anges.
