PARLIAMENT SQUARE built upon a moderate C&D debut effort to finish fifth in the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot and sets the form standard based on that run. A reproduction of that effort, now dropped back into maiden company, would probably be sufficient for Aidan O'Brien's charge to open his account. Grafelli is entitled to improve with the benefit of his Curragh debut behind him and merits shortlist inclusion along with Dermot Weld's newcomer, Impound, who is a half-brother to a 6f and 1m winner.

This shorter trip thus looks ideal and she can put the benefit of that experience to good use to get the better of stablemate Fascinate, who fetched 200,000 euros as a yearling, holds several Pattern race entries, and is worth a market check ahead of her racecourse bow. Magical Dream (also representing Ballydoyle) and Hazy Glow are other newcomers to note.

STONES PEAK struggled to land a blow on the polytrack at Dundalk on two earlier outings this year but showed the benefit of a return to turf when staying on for second behind Little Village over this trip on slow ground at Navan in April. Patrick Martin's representative has been raised 2lb for his troubles but remains feasibly weighted on the pick of his best turf form from last year and can take advantage of a 9lb weight swing to reverse the placings with that rival. Last-time-out course scorer Ningaloo Reef and Luckiest Owners, a fair third at Limerick when last sighted, both drop back from 7f but are respected in their current form.
A wide open handicap. Little Village is consistent for the grade and is likely to run well, however, Stones Peak is well treated to reverse the form of their recent meeting and is the tentative selection. Heroic Endeavour has each-way claims now he is racing over a more suitable trip.

Following a couple of decent efforts in Group 1 company, AFTER narrowly lost out to Fire Lily in the Group 3 Ballyogan Stakes at Leopardstown last time out and with seemingly nothing of that calibre in opposition this afternoon, Aidan O'Brien's charge can go one better. Marvada also filled the runner-up spot in this grade latest and could prove best of the remainder, ahead of Bulbul, who has 10lb to find with the selection on official figures but is no forlorn hope for minor money.
After bounced back to her best when second in a 6f Group 3 at Leopardstown last time and with the return to this trip in her favour she is taken to account for Marvada. Singing Bird may improve enough to get placed.

Custom Cut is thriving at present and warrants the utmost respect having completed a double at Down Royal when last sighted. George Kent's representative is 1lb higher back in a handicap and his ability to plough through testing ground is a big positive in his favour. However, marginal preference is for CAPTAIN CULLEN, who laid down a strong challenge at Leopardstown over 1m latest until his stamina gave way inside the final furlong. The drop back in trip could prove the catalyst for a return to the winner's enclosure tonight. Now stepped back up in trip, Greek Canyon is another to consider.
Hat-trick seeker Custom Cut demands respect, but he may be unable to dictate like last time with Greek Canyon in the field, so it may pay to take him on with Captain Cullen, who is sure to have benefited from his encouraging reappearance. Danequest is expected to run another solid race.

Unanimous was putting in his best work in the closing stages when grabbing second over 7f at Gowran earlier in the month and is expected to improve for the return to 1m. However, this will be his fourth start and it might be worth siding with the less exposed LORETO, who failed to stay 1m2f at the Curragh last time and looks worth a try over this shorter trip in the immediate term. Dermot Weld's newcomer, Tandem, is related to several winners and would be interesting if subject of strong market support.
Despite the addition of cheekpieces on just his second start, Russian Soul showed enough on debut to suggest that he is capable of winning a maiden. Unanimous looks one of the stable's lesser lights and doesn't seem a straightforward ride and is worth opposing, while Tandem can run into a place on debut.

PIVOT BRIDGE was beaten into third when stepped up in trip at Gowran earlier in the month but it was a performance that marked something of a career best as he was taking on horses rated as high as 94. Tonight's assignment thus represents a drop in class (top-weight is rated 78) and a reproduction of that effort, off the same mark, may well suffice. The handicapper may have caught up with The Fox Tully, who was denied a hat-trick at Down Royal latest, and a bigger danger may be the unexposed Teofolina, who drops back to a more suitable trip for her handicap debut this evening.
The Fox Tully has been thriving on racing of late but the handicapper may have his measure now, and a chance is taken on Pivot Bridge, who has also held his form well after his recent win, and is still on a workable mark.
