CROWNS DYNASTY has displayed a fair level of ability in both starts thus far and appears to have been found a great opportunity to open his account tonight. Playin'inmywhiskey looks the most likely danger, while any market support for Burnum on his racecourse debut could well be worth noting.
SENOR RED left his debut performance well behind when fourth over 6f here a couple of weeks ago and, with further improvement on the cards, he could make it third time lucky. Handsup Moneydown and Who Dat Ambush are amongst the dangers.
There are plenty of positives to take from MERCHANT OF MENACE's four outings thus far and, taking a significant drop in grade tonight, he gets the vote to open his account. Bluegrass Bear and Thunder Dancing are closely matched on their meeting here last month, but Apres Midi is most feared.
HANK'S HILL is thriving for new trainer W V Armata and is taken to continue on an upward curve despite this step up in trip. He appears to be doing his best work late on in the day over 6f which suggests the transition should suit. Elsewhere, keep a close eye on Captain Chris and Lonesome Cherokee.
TURN TO SHINE can't boast the experience of her rivals but has made a more than pleasing start to her career and with improvement likely, she could take all the beating. Fairy Road and Sava River head the list of dangers.
Sweet Margi has appreciated the switch to the Steven Asmussen yard but preference is for LITTLE AMY who has performed admirably, albeit in defeat, this term. The filly has threatened a big run and this looks an ideal chance for her to shed the maiden tag but don't rule out the chances of Congrats To Me who can also get serious when push comes to shove.
HONORS BEST scored with plenty in hand over 7f here last month and shouldn't have any problems following up over this shorter trip. Sierra Morena ran her best race to date over C&D latest and is feared most. Proutes looks best of the rest.
JOLSON scores lowly in the consistency stakes but has typically been competing in a stronger grade and might be capable of better over this shorter trip now lowering his sights. Big Band Sound is expected to strip fitter for his last run and merits consideration along with the improving Highveldt Storm.
Holy Schneikies saw his winning sequence ended when upped in grade here latest and of more interest is CHARLIE'S THE MAN, who posted a career-best speed figure when opening his account over a route here latest. September Square completes the shortlist.
