Hacienda has returned to form of late, scoring at Chester and following up with a creditable second off this mark at Newmarket last week. However, Mark Johnston's charge might prefer quicker ground so ROBEMAKER gets the nod. John Gosden's charge has been raised 2lb for his Goodwood second but remains open to further improvement over this shorter trip and will relish the forecast slow ground. Captain Bertie has become frustrating to follow but hinted a return to 1m would suit when a one-paced fifth over 7f at Goodwood latest. As a son of Captain Rio, slow ground is also unlikely to faze Charlie Hills' colt.
Captain Bertie has taken a step back in the right direction the last twice and could be the one to be with in a very competitive handicap. Impressive Chester winner Alakhan is an obvious danger, while Venutius goes well at Haydock Park and needs considering also.

RIOT OF COLOUR overcame a tardy start and was coming back to the leader when second on debut at Kempton earlier in the month. Ralph Beckett's Excellent Art filly should be all the wiser for the experience gained that day and is a confident choice. Lady Jameela was outpaced in the closing stages when second over 5f at Bath last time and can give the selection most to think about now back up in trip. William Haggas' newcomer, Cardigan, fetched 48,000 pounds as a juvenile and would be interesting in the market spoke in her favour.

Official figures suggest Police Force is closely matched with the last-named off level weights and with only a length between them in their Newmarket encounter last month, the Godolphin charge looks capable of putting up a good fight.
