Flat winner DUC DE SAVOIE failed to justify favouritism on his hurdling bow over C&D last week but wasn't beaten far into fourth and he jumped well, so could be worth another chance with that experience under his belt. Run With The Wind returns to hurdles on the back of a Flat win here and can improve on his previous efforts over timber but a bigger threat may be posed by Mundher and Owega Star, especially the latter who makes his hurdling bow after showing ability in bumpers.
Its Ironic has been shaping as if in top form of late and is worth a try at this significantly shorter trip. Owega Star is a big threat judged on his bumper form, while Run With The Wind won on the Flat here recently and is another with solid claims.

Leah Claire looked to be getting the hang of the hurdling game when runner-up over this C&D earlier this month but further progress is required after a 3lb rise. GORGEOUS GAEL has also gone up for a placed effort, but only 2lb, and he went very close when returned to 2m at Down Royal that day. A repeat performance may suffice in this company, although Orange Touch and In The Haven are expected to put up plenty of resistance.
Leah Claire ran well to finish second over this C&D last time and can go one better off just a 3 lb higher mark. Gorgeous Gael is another who comes here on the back of a good run and is accorded respect, while In The Haven was in the process of showing improved form over fences last time before falling and looks on a potentially lenient mark.

INSPECTOR CLOUSEAU will relish the step back up in trip after narrowly failing to land the odds over 2m1f last time out. Prior to that, the Willie Mullins-trained six-year-old made the frame in a tougher contest than this over 2m6f and he is only 1lb higher now. Pozyc has every chance on the form of his silver medal at Bellewstown latest but he is one to tread carefully with after burning the fingers of favourite backers the last twice. Footy Facts has every chance off this mark on his best form but has yet to sparkle so far this year.
Willie Mullins has a strong hand in this handicap hurdle with Poyzc and Inspector Clouseau, with preference just given to the former who is the mount of Ruby Walsh. Darenjan is another with an interesting prolile and he can complete the places.

Lucky William was threatening to open his chase account last autumn and will be a popular choice on his return to the larger obstacles. He wasn't in the best of form when last seen over timber in February, however, and the slight preference is for SON OF OSCAR, who also returns from a break. He filled the runner-up spot in a Grade 3 novices' chase 11 months ago and showed a liking for these testing conditions when making the frame in a similar event in January. Forjoetheplumber rates the pick of the remainder.
A maiden chase that revolves around Lucky William, who will surely get a belated first win on the board in this discipline granted a clear round of jumping. Son of Oscar and Forjoetheplumber can chase him home.

Pocket Reader remains a maiden but this drop back in trip is expected to bring out the best in Nina Carberry's mount, who can also take advantage of his position near the foot of the weights. However, ARDGLEN gets the nod having won in similar company at Ballinrobe last time out and while a 9lb hike in the ratings looks a little steep, his 106-rating over hurdles may suggest otherwise and the son of Bach is expected to record a quick-fire double. Isourbell is another with claims.
Two standout here, namely Ardglen and Cerveza Dinero, and though the former didn't totally convince with his jumping at Ballinrobe last time, he did at least complete and gets the vote off a 9 lb higher mark. Island Peak is comfortably the most solid of the remainder.

Positive market vibes for the Willie Mullins newcomer Supreme Carolina will be worth taking note of but preference is for previous experience and, for that reason, SHE RANKS ME gets the vote. The Golan filly was a creditable fourth in a valuable Punchestown bumper when last sighted and while the expected heavy ground is a slight concern, the four-year-old is taken to give another good account of herself with improvement likely. High Class Show looks best of the remainder.

It is very hard to look past PITTONI in the finale as another comfortable distance success at Tipperary last time out has earned the 141-rated hurdler a mark of 100 in this sphere. The all-weather surface is an unknown quantity for the five-year-old but his rivals have it all to do on all known form. Idarah and False Economy appeal most of those.
Pittoni looks a class apart in this minor event and should have no difficulty landing what are sure to be prohibive odds. False Economy and Idarah can fight it out for second.
