The progressive BONARDA turned in her best effort to date when second in a slightly-weaker contest last month. With more expected after just five starts, she's taken to break her duck tonight. Shannon and Lotus Flower can fight out the minor honours.
Jinx Buster has been placed in his last three starts but is up in class tonight and has more to find. Bear's Tizz is running consistently well but struggled when last in this grade and has plenty to find with BIGSTORMBREWIN, who was third in this grade two starts ago and looks open to further improvement after just four starts.
HANDY HAROLD returned to form last month with an impressive C&D success. A repeat of that effort should see him land the spoils tonight. Big Brown Brewski (second), Stolonboy (third) and Promising Dancer (fourth) can fight out the minor placings again.
MIA'S ROCKET could only finish fourth to Molinaro Fort Heal's second in a similar contest over 7f here last time but this drop in trip looks in her favour and she's taken to reverse the placings on her way to scoring tonight. Venture Exchange looks best of the rest.
After some good efforts in better races, SIR BERRINGER landed a $16k maiden claimer in some style over a route here last month. This doesn't look much tougher and he's taken to follow up. Shackleton Hill has proved pretty consistent at this level and looks the one for the exacta while Duendecillo should run well.
Beihai Park is expected to confirm recent course superiority over Scarlet's Diamond but one that makes more appeal is CAPTAIN CROW. He had the beating of Control, Rush Seats, Wild Jester and Take A Pitch when beaten by a nose over track and trip last month and doesn't need much improvement to go one better.
ITZHOWEEROLL scored over C&D when last sighted and is taken to complete a hat-trick while evidently at one with himself. First Rate scored over a route here last time and now drops back in distance. Of more interest is recent 7f second Lemon View.
LOVEYOUALLTHETIME hacked up over 5f here last time and would take the world of beating if reproducing that form over this longer trip. Others to consider are C&D winners Bear Tough Tiger and Guitar Solo.
The consistent HAWK OVER HEATH is holding his form well at present and the step up to this longer trip could prove the catalyst for a deserved success. Khulna and Okiyama can battle it out for the silver medal.
EYE OF THE LEOPARD looks the class act in the race and can gain compensation for a near miss over a route here last time if getting a clear run. Last time out course winners Eagle Poise and Alpha Bettor complete the shortlist.
SIR LOWRY'S PASS ran a debut full of promise when runner up over 6f here on debut and can put that experience to good use here. Others to consider are Mount Diablo, runner-up over C&D latest, and Corbelli.
Bear On Fire must be respected if back on song but he was a major disappointment when finishing down the field behind runner-up EUROVALENTINO over 6f here last month and although trying this trip for the first time, the selection has winning form over the bare mile and can confirm himself on the upgrade. War Ridge completes the shortlist.
An open race but ROMANTIC SONG returned from a couple of months on the sidelines to post a staying-on fifth, beaten only two lengths, over 6f here last month and the move up a furlong, combined with that run probably bringing her on, could work the oracle. Silver Minikin and Hey Hey Mama are the obvious dangers.
