The penalised trio tie-in closely on various form lines but ONE COOL SHABRA gets the vote having created a really good impression as a tough, quick-jumping juvenile who relishes a battle. There's no doubt that Sam Bass and Burrenbridge Lodge, who finished one-two at Cork last time, will loom up to challenge in the home straight at some stage but let's stick with the Brady charge, who should also represent decent value for money. Wrekin Rock created a good impression too when scoring at Gowran Park despite his starting price and is certainly not discounted from calculations.
Sam Bass was value for more than the winning distance last time and looks the pick of the 5 previous winners in the field. Of the others, Rossvoss is open to improvement over jumps and Tugboat is a very interesting recruit to hurdling.

SOUS LES CIEUX moves straight into Grade 1 company after cruising round here on his latest outing last month. Willie Mullins clearly holds the French-bred gelding in high regard to elevate him to this level after a maiden hurdle success and the hint is taken. Il Fenomeno has stronger form but has made fairly heavy weather of his two hurdling wins. He's clearly on the upgrade though and there could well be more to come. Dazzling Susie disappointed last time, Midnight Game was a beaten favourite on debut so Galileo's Choice and the consistent Miss Nomer look next best.
Sous Les Cieux was hugely impressive on his return to action here last month but has much more on his plate here and may struggle to cope with Galileo's Choice, who has won a Group 3 on the level since making a winning debut over hurdles. Il Fenomeno is sure to be there or thereabouts as well.

First Lieutenant was by far the best of these over hurdles with his victory at the Cheltenham Festival last March the highlight of a splendid season. He's taken well to fences but is unlikely to exercise such an advantage over his rivals over the larger obstacles. Davy Russell has chosen him from the all-conquering Gigginstown House Stud trio but BOG WARRIOR is open to plenty of improvement and looked a really promising chasing type when making all at Navan on his fencing bow. Ruby Walsh is booked and he's taken to overcome the likely favourite. Rivage D'Or and Shinrock Paddy are next best.
First Lieutenant won twice at this level over hurdles last season and has done very little wrong over fences so far. He sets the standard here and is taken to account for the impressive Navan winner Bog Warrior. Rivage d'Or may well make it a 1-2-3 for the Gigginstown House Stud.

Mikael D'Haguenet, entered here on Saturday, will find life tough if he comes here as well as - or instead of - that run. This is also the race that will tell us just how good The Real Article is and Edward O'Grady's charge is expected to give a very solid account. However, he'll need to be really good to give 7lb to C&D winner VOLER LA VEDETTE after her recent smooth success at Navan, or proven top-class performer Mourad. The latter hasn't been seen since Auteuil in June and might just need this and therefore the vote goes to Colm Murphy's hugely talented mare.
A race that has been thrown wide open by the late defection of the ante-post favourtie Thousand Stars. Voler La Vedette looked as good as ever when landing the Lismullen Hurdle last month and she gets the nod ahead of the consistent Mourad. The Real Article is making his first foray into Grade 1 company but will be a threat to all if seeing out this trip.

Some in-form sorts in opposition but OUR VICTORIA will appreciate the return to handicap company after falling at Grade 3 level last time behind Blazing Tempo. The form of her previous success over Stephanie Kate reads well and she was far from disgraced when second to Shop Dj at Thurles. She stayed this trip well over timber and is preferred to the hat-trick seeking Miss Pepperpot. Cloughmile was much improved when scoring at Gowran Park over 2m2f last month and a repeat could see her involved here, although she has been hiked 10lb. Tally Em Up and Twelfth Of Never also merit respect.
Cloughmile bounced back to form with a vengeance at Gowran last time and can defy a 10 lb penalty here. The hat-trick seeking Miss Pepperpot should give another good account, whilst Our Victoria can get placed if none the worst for a heavy fall at Clonmel last time.

HOLD THE PIN stayed on dourly to finish fourth over 3m at Limerick last month and although still rated 5lb higher than for his most recent success, the former Midlands National third looks sure to appreciate the return to a marathon trip. The booking of Barry Geraghty adds further weight to his claims. Smoking Aces was sent off favourite and ran well when fourth off a 1lb higher mark at Cork last time, while Sang Bleu is up 2lb following his pleasing comeback third at Punchestown but that run should bring him on and his stamina is assured.
This is sure to be a thorough test of stamina and Smoking Aces, who was well backed last time, is taken to grind out his first success over fences. Sang Bleu is more reliable than most in this type of event and is taken to chase home the selection, while bottom weight Portrait King is well worth a second look on his handicap debut.

The betting should help sort out the newcomers, with Bright New Dawn, Sizing Italy and Venture Capital of particular interest in that category, but THE MIGHTY MILAN shaped very well when second to subsequent maiden hurdle winner Corbally Ghost on his debut at Thurles last month and it looks only a matter of time before he is off the mark. Thomas Edison and The Boys Dont Know are also entitled to build on their encouraging debut efforts at Down Royal and Cork respectively, but the main danger to the selection is Starkie, who makes his bumper debut for Henry De Bromhead.
There are some interesting newcomers in this bumper, but The Mighty Milan's debut effort would be enough to win most races of this type and earns him the vote ahead of Thomas Edison and Tile Lady, who also bring a decent level of form into the race.
