Woodtrip was the subject of strong market support before disappointing in a weaker event latest, while Presentee has yet to convince over today's distance. The safest option could be to side with JUST DANNY, who was mounting a bold bid before her stamina emptied over a furlong further latest and a reproduction of her latest speed figure should suffice.
FAR FROM FRAIL recorded her sole success over today's distance and while recent efforts hardly set the pulse racing, the switch to a high percentage jockey on this drop in grade suggests connections are anticipating a bold showing. Sarah's Blue Eyes should improve for the step up to a route distance, while Noble Spires rates well on the speed figures and could prove the main danger.
COSTARANDO continues to improve with experience and he posted his best effort to date with a close second over the C&D last time. Any further improvement should see him hard to pass. Wild Ransom has yet to repeat the promise shown on his first two starts and looks one to avoid, while Star Born could prove a threat if allowed to dictate matters from the gates as he drops back to a sprint distance.
COMPTON won in the manner of an improving horse when sauntering clear over C&D and he looks worth persevering with as he chases the hat trick. Rollin' Rat has been in fine form of late and looks capable of giving the selection something to think about. Bastione defied a long absence when scoring at this venue latest and any improvement on that effort should see him in the firing line in a trappy event.
Sweep Back would be a threat to all if fitness doesn't prove an issue on his first start in over four months, while Forlec gained a deserved success latest and it would be folly to leave him out of calculations. However, LI BIEN may improve at the shorter distance and he could prove a tough nut to crack if adopting his usual front-running tactics.
Hollywood Hustler had Hollywood Payday behind when finishing second in a stronger event latest and both are entitled to the utmost respect. However, RYAN'S PARTNER has the highest speed figure at today's distance and he looked to be returning to form when finishing second in a higher grade over the C&D latest.
STIFFLER represents a trainer-jockey partnership that boasts a 43 per-cent strike-rate with it's runners in recent weeks and a reproduction of the performance that saw him record an all-the-way success at this venue latest should suffice. Kikika's Gold switches to a high percentage trainer after disappointing as favourite latest, while Sunnys Buudy looks the one for minor honours.
JUBILEE should be suited by the return to dirt after a couple of creditable efforts on turf and he looks ideally positioned to adopt his usual front-running tactics from a perfect post position. Jewels Of Bagdad deserves a shot at this higher level after landing a weaker event last time, while Hot Attraction has a poor record at this distance and may be seen to better effect when dropped back to a sprint.
SONNY JONES has recorded some sparkling recent workout times to suggest fitness ought not to be an issue on his first start in more than two months and he can make the most of this significant drop in grade. Galt caused a surprise when defying a long absence to score here latest and has to enter calculations if in the same form. Jessando switches to a high percentage jockey and looks best of the remainder.
