That Look had a few of these behind when making a winning start to his hurdle career at Market Rasen 16 days ago and the way he jumped and travelled through the race suggests that he will be a major player today even with his penalty. Following him home there was HI DANCER who met some trouble in running early on in the race and under the circumstances did well to finish where he did. Back in fourth was Nike Walker who might be better suited by this sharper track.

Manx Royal probably has the ability to win this but not for the first time his aptitude for chasing was questioned last time. Seven time hurdle winner Marrel made an encouraging start to his chase career when second on his penultimate start at Cartmel and once again ran well reverted to hurdles last time, he should not be far away. LATIN QUEEN was a winner over fences in April and was still in with a chance when coming to grief late on last time, she is more reliable than most.

ESTATE was a winner over hurdles at Huntingdon earlier on in the spring and ran a fine race when second over C&D last time. He could possibly be improving and he acts best around a tight track such as this, Timmy Murphy is the ideal man for him. Master Nimbus rates the biggest threat of the remainder; he was returning from a break when making virtually all around Wetherby on his penultimate start and has since shaped adequately in a race on the level. Temple Place would have a squeak if finding his best form.

Kety Star had dropped to a fair mark and this enabled him to get his head in front last time at Uttoxeter from FLAHIVE'S FIRST. This step back up in trip is not sure to suit as well but it will definitely benefit the selection. Meltonian ran well the time before last in a claiming hurdle at Plumpton when he was not well treated at the weights. A reproduction of that effort should see a good run this afternoon. STONEYFORD BEN ran by far his best race over hurdles last weekend at Market Rasen in a stronger race than this. As long as that was not a flash in the pan he looks the most likely winner this afternoon. Caani Thinkaar could be given a chance on bits and pieces of form but overall has an unconvincing profile.

Longueville Manor had SEA MAP just behind him when they were second and third respectively over C&D 28 days ago but it was the selection's first try at that trip so we can expect better today and he is also better off at the weights. Jug Of Punch is hard to predict but ran one of his better races last time out at Huntingdon and if able to reproduce that he would not be far away but his best efforts are possibly when going right handed.
