Verdict

The first race has an open look about it especially as there are first-timers to consider but STANLEY PARK showed good resolve to finish second last time and can build on that. He is an Oratorio/Var cross so should specialise in speed events. SLIM JANNIE confirmed debut promise with a fourth-place finish on poly debut. The distance may have been a bit far and back over this track and trip should give a good account of himself. NDAKA is consistent and another good run is expected. He looks to have secured the best of the draws for a change. HAYAT and GOLD ENSIGN have shown ability.

PROMETTERE was well supported on debut and was eye catching. He could be even better on the turf track. WITHOUT QUESTION was getting on terms with highly regarded Wiccan Warrior when the line came last time. He is also improving and knows the course now so rates a massive danger. Wide-open handicap and best to go wide in exotic bets. QUEST FOR THE BEST turned in a solid performance when switching to this track last time. He can go one better. DONQUERARI is a youngster who should keep improving as he has been quite green in his races. However, he hands weight to the majority of this field. THE BAYOU ran a much better race when tried over this track and trip last time and will enjoy a fast pace. METALLIC GOLD, HAPPY WANDERER, TWO OF US and FATHER'S FROST have the recent form to challenge for the win over this distance.

Verdict

LIVE MY LIFE needed her last run. She has obvious ability but has been lightly raced and needed time. AMARANDI will test her if repeating her last performance. She was impressive upfront and the fitting of cheekpieces could have done the trick with her. LAZULI showed something in her last race against males and is back over the straight sprint and expected to put in a bid from a decent barrier. RIDE THE LIGHTNING and JACK'S BIRD are decent at best and may make the exotics pay should they run into the money. More with place claims.

Verdict

Just about anything can win this. FAMILY FAVOURITE tried this track and trip a few runs back and did not do too badly. She may prefer the going on top. FATEFUL MISTRESS has draw one and could go start to finish if she is at her best. She did run a fair race in her last start. GIMME A LULLABY has been dropping in ratings and has the pedigree to enjoy the distance. Upset type. ALITTLEBITNAUGHTY could take advantage in a weak field. She loves this track and should hold a few on her last run. RECKLESS LOVE could finally get it right if the race is run to suit.

Verdict

MOUNT LAUREL earlier beat a few of these at handicap terms (giving away chunks of weight) so it was a win full of merit. She now finds herself best weighted and racing from a good barrier. Big chance even though not the most consistent. TIME TO ROLL has lived up to her name winning her last four and had MOUNT LAUREL, KEEP ON DANCING and FREESTATE STAR beaten last time but she is racing after a rest and has more to do at the weights. KEEP ON DANCING ran in the Grade 2 Bracelet last time and is a specialist - watch out. HUMDINGER and FREESTATE STAR have winning chances as well.
