Any rain would be in Reverence's favour but, with the ground likely to be against him and giving weight away to the field, this progressive sprinter is opposable today. There's little to choose between BENBAUN and Pivotal Point on their running in the King's Stand with the latter favoured by today's weights. Mark Wallace's gelding has run another sound race since and gets the vote. Pivotal Point may not have been suited by turning out again so quickly last time, today's conditions suit and he is feared. Tawaassol has an entry in the July Cup but has a deal of improvement to make to challenge his elders; One Putra and Pivotal Flame may fare best of the remainder.

An intriguing contest with two former winners and last year's second going to post. The form of Humble Opinion's Haydock win has worked out well and he could prove to be handily treated from just a 4lb higher mark. It's hard to knock the chances of HINTERLAND who has scope for plenty of improvement with only 5 starts to his name; he seemed to lack a finishing kick at Royal Ascot and today's stiff finish should be in his favour. Momtic is 8lb higher than when second last year but looks primed for another bold showing. Ex-French performer Seulement won at around this trip in France and market support would be of interest.

DAVID JUNIOR's connections have gone out of their way to ensure that their colt has the strong pace that he requires. It would be dangerous to underestimate Ouija Board who showed a decisive turn of foot to win on merit at Royal Ascot and he will need to be at his best to get the better of this grand mare, but the stronger pace should swing matters in his favour. The pace could also be the key to Aussie Rules' chance as the Ballydoyle challenger wasn't suited by the run of the race at Chantilly and he could be seen in a different light today. Blue Monday is tough and progressive but has a bit to find in this grade.

SERGEANT CECIL looks to have been found a decent opportunity to gain his first success of the season having performed creditably in the face of some stiff tasks in Group company. The selection comfortably holds Barolo and Winged d'Argent on their running in the Ascot Gold Cup and should be able to confirm that form here. Vinando has run a couple of cracking races in some big handicaps this season and could prove the biggest danger, although he hasn't won for over two years.

LA MOTTIE sets the standard on the form of her second at Royal Ascot when only just caught on the line and she's taken to go one better here. Illuminise was done no favours by the draw on that occasion and can get much closer if conditions remain on the fast side. Silver Touch has been highly touted and can be forgiven her last run as she was found to have pulled some muscles and she's an unknown quantity to some extent. Expensive should have come on for her reappearance and has claims on her victory in a valuable sales race at Newbury whilst Star Cluster shouldn't be underestimated.

PLAYTOTHEAUDIENCE was thought enough of to line up in the Gimcrack last season and gets the vote here in the hope that he's ready to do himself justice on his return to the track. Ans Bach was hampered last time, which allowed the winner to get first run, but that was a much more encouraging effort and he looks sure to go close. His connections have a useful line on Escape Clause through a stablemate and the market could tell the tale with regard to expectations for those two. Damika should appreciate this trip but has been steadily climbing the weights.

An interesting contest to finish with. Noble Gent is probably best watched unless attracting market support and MIDNIGHT TRAVELLER is taken to build on the promise of his second at Goodwood and he could be seen to much better effect on this stiff track. On a line through Babcary there is little to choose between the selection and the progressive Mystic Storm who could have more in the locker. The tough and progressive Incidentally may have more to offer now that he's stepped up in trip whilst Mark Johnston's pair cannot be ignored with the yard in blistering form.
