Mark Johnston's newcomers usually go well and his Always Baileys, related to a string of winners, should be in the shake-up. Grafton is another well-related sort and could go well on his debut but experience should tell here. RYEDALE OVATION ran green on his debut at Doncaster but ran on nicely at the finish. He's sure to have come on for the race and looks the one to beat here.

MUGEBA is not the most consistent but was beaten a short-head by Attorney in a Folkestone handicap. This is easier and a repeat performance could be good enough to take this. Party Princess would have a chance on her best form but has run poorly recently, as has Straffan after winning her first two starts this year and Exit Smiling, unlucky in running last time, makes most appeal from the remainder.

Blue Opal, a good third on her debut over C&D last year, can be given a chance here while Let Slip and Bollin Billy are improving sorts who should be winning soon. Arry Dash is leniently treated on his best form but doesn't win very often. Magic Sting, up 5lb on his winning mark, was well beaten last time. Ticero, a length back in third behind Royal Melbourne at Catterick, should go close off the same mark but might find one too good in ARCHIRONDEL. The selection got up by a neck at Beverley over 1m2f recently. He has another 7lb today but didn't get the best of runs at Beverley. With a clear run today and over an extra furlong, he should be able to follow up.
