Tim Easterby's runners have been in good form recently and RESIDENCE AND SPA could continue the good run. He improved on his debut run at Leicester to finish a much closer third over this trip at Musselburgh and is open to further improvement. There was plenty to like about Piccoluck's debut effort at Newcastle and if he comes on from that run he'll be on the premises. Next Edition makes up the shortlist.
Next Edition, Residence And Spa and Piccoluck all bring a fair level of form to the table, and their experience should count for plenty up against the newcomers. Next Edition seems to have achieved the most and gets the vote.

There's not a great deal that jumps off the page in terms of form but it could pay to stick with previous C&D winner KING'S COUNSEL. His success here came at the start of June but he struggled when tried over 1m at Ayr after that. Prime Circle can be involved in the shake-up if at his best. He scored over 7f at Lingfield last month but his inconsistency is a slight concern. Miss Ferney is another to consider.
Miss Ferney has fallen to a tempting mark and should make no mistake having signalled that she's ready to strike on her last 2 starts. King's Counsel and Maybe I Wont are the pair predicted to scrap out the minor honours.

A competitive affair despite the small turn-out but it could pay to stick with Kevin Ryan's charge SHARP ECLIPSE. He's finished second in his last three starts over 6f and 5f and will be looking to go one better this afternoon. Patch Patch was second over this distance at Newcastle last month but needs to find a little more to land a telling blow, while Bronze Beau has been in good heart with three place finishes in as many starts and makes the shortlist.
The progressive Patch Patch stands out in a race in which few make strong appeal. The consistent Sharp Eclipse can follow him home.
He has won three times from 7f to 1m 2f on good and good to soft ground, but last win was over two years ago. Beaten 20l behind Jo'burg at 66-1 when 11th of 13 on his latest outing at Sandown over 1m 2f (good) last month. Having his first run for a new stable today.

This doesn't look the easiest of claimers to fathom but TROPICAL BACHELOR may be able to return to winning ways. He landed a double over 1m4f at York and Ripon earlier in the year and despite disappointing since, he warrants plenty of respect on these terms. Ebur Mac disappointed over 1m4f but could reward each-way backers as he drops back in trip, while Bold Indian was in fine heart last year and a return to that form would see him in the frame.
Ballinteni has offered little in competitive handicaps this term, but a change of stable might spark him back in to life and he's clearly the pick of these weights judged on last year's efforts. Tropical Bachelor and Kashimin are the obvious challengers on the book.

GO NANI GO was narrowly held into third off this mark on his seasonal bow last month and it would not take much improvement to see him land this. Peter Island comes here on the back of a second at Warwick and has looked in good form this year. Another bold bid would see him involved in the shake-up, while Julie Camacho's charge, Sir Nod, teams up with Paul Hanagan, who has been on board for his last four successes.
A competitive-looking sprint. Red Cape has been in good form for most of the year and is fancied to confirm Doncaster form with Go Nani Go.

RASCAL IN THE MIX seems to have come on leaps and bounds since the addition of cheekpieces and she comes here in search of the hat-trick. She won with plenty in hand over 1m at Chester recently and should remain competitive off a mark 4lb higher. Silly Gilly (engaged to run at Ripon yesterday) was not far behind the winner when third over this trip at Pontefract last time out. A winner over 7f at Thirsk, she commands plenty of respect if taking her chance. Love In The West makes up the shortlist.
Very Well Red has never won from a mark this high, but may be able to dominate here in which case she'll be hard to collar. Rascal In The Mix and Silly Gilly are both solid alternatives.

TRES FROIDE didn't make much of an impact at Nottingham last time but she's possibly better judged on her penultimate third at Newcastle, when flashing home at the finish. Having slipped to a 3lb lower mark than when winning here last October, Nigel Tinkler's mare could be worth chancing today. Applaude (engaged to run at Hamilton on Friday evening) hasn't been disgraced in two starts since winning at Hamilton last month and could make the frame, along with Indian Violet.
Very few in any sort of form so a chance is taken on Tres Froide, a winner here last autumn and with the services of Paul Hanagan today. Marillos Proterras could be the one to chase her home.

ZEFOOHA looks to be nearing peak fitness this term and could be up to reversing recent course form with Amir Pasha, especially if the fitting of first-time blinkers has a positive effect. Dovedon Angel looked to have a little bit to spare when scoring narrowly at Lingfield last time and can't be ignored, despite a 4lb rise. Drop The Hammer is another to consider closely in an open handicap.
Zefooha and Amir Pasha fought out the finish of a recent C&D event, and the former can reverse the form here on marginally better terms. Strong traveller Dovedon Angel is perhaps the biggest threat to that pair in a competitive event of its type.
