LOVE RIDGE looks the one to stick with following her comfortable victory over 6f at this track. She has looked in fine form this year and rarely runs a bad race and another good account is expected here. L Gaska scored over an extra furlong at this track recently and despite a step up in class she should be competitive. Bostonweddingbell makes up the shortlist.
Uncle Eli steps up in class this evening but has looked to be finding some form recently and should not be dismissed lightly. Preference, however, is for STAY HIP who was second over C&D last time out but had scored on his penultimate start here. A return to winning ways would come as no surprise. Cool As Ever turns out for Richard Vega's in-form yard and warrants plenty of respect.
ON A HIGH CLOUD shaped encouragingly over an extended mile at this track recently and a similar effort should see her on the premises this evening. A previous C&D winner she is well respected here. It'scryptonight steps up in class tonight but she won with plenty in hand last time out and should make any shortlist. Edward Auwarter's charge Marciannie has each-way claims.
PECAN TASSIE who with a little in hand over an extended mile here back in May and following a short break she should run well fresh. Samantha G has been knocking on the door in recent months and she looks to be heading in the right direction. Lightly raced this year it would be no surprise to see her make an impact on this race. Mary's Dancer is another to consider.
Sweet Kristen finally got back to winning ways over C&D last time out and a similar effort this evening will see her on the board. She looked to appreciate the step up in trip and should put in a bold bid. A slight preference, however, is for VESPER who shaped nicely when held into second over half a furlong shorter. The slight step up in trip should be of benefit to her while Eye Cant Look Back has claims.
Crafty Peace came on leaps and bounds for his debut when when a comfortable winner over six and a half furlongs at Woodbine. Ronald Dandy's yard have a decent strike-rate this year and the three-year-old makes plenty of appeal. A tentative verdict, however, is for STORY PAST who landed his seasonal reappearance over 5f here recently. Federal Hill and Maji Moto both have claims.
CHEF looks like he'll take all the beating in this company following his third at Monmouth Park. He'd previously won with plenty in hand in an allowance over an extended mile at this track and he should have enough ability to see off his rivals tonight. Gandolf can play a hand if at his best while Longandstrong turns out for Scott Lake and will be looking to build upon a recent third at this course.
It may pay to take a chance with MY FAIR HILL LADY who was a comfortable winner over this trip at Penn last month. She'd been heading in the right direction but things really come together for her and she could be worth sticking with here. D'oro Deelites can be forgiven her latest when she was badly bumped and pulled out. She'd previously looked in good heart with three place finishes in succession and comes here with high hopes. Carolina Dream'n has an outside chance if she steps up in this class.
