Alexandrakollontai was a solid second at Folkestone last time and merits respect, but she'll need to improve to stop THROWING ROSES here. Just a short head away at Ripon on debut, Ollie Pears' filly looked a little one-paced once Dream Vale went past at Catterick last time but this extra furlong is expected to suit. David Wachman sends a rare runner to Yorkshire in the shape of Awakened Spirit, and any market support should be noted.
Several interesting newcomers here, and they could be the ones to concentrate on, in particular Agent Allison, Fenwick Gale and Awakened Spirit, who is a tentative selection to take the prize back across the Irish Sea.

Donald McCain appears to have a decent crop of Flat stayers in his yard and EMRANI looks another decent one. Just a head away from victory at Haydock last time, he can get the measure of Wells Lyrical, who should come on for his reappearance at Doncaster last month and has Paul Hanagan in the plate. Descaro has stamina in abundance and acts well round this track, while Passion Play has to be respected.
A tricky handicap to solve, and though Wells Lyrical and Descaro both appeal off their current marks, Blimey O'Riley could be the one for his in-form yard, looking to match his 2011 record of winning on his second outing of the season.

All Or Nothin was a good winner of a Chester maiden last time but it remains to be seen whether the handicapper holds the upper hand, which he may not do with RAFEEJ. Mark Johnston's runner was less than a length behind Mince in a hot Newmarket handicap last time and a 1lb rise looks far from harsh. Waseem Faris is consistent and should be thereabouts, while Orders From Rome opened his account on the all-weather latest and is dangerous while in winning form.
Chooseday is taken to land this for the yard successful in this race last year, though the gelding will have to confirm the impression made at Ripon last week to beat off the unexposed pair All Or Nothin and, in particular, Rafeej.

Eshaab won over C&D two starts ago but the way he stayed on over slightly further at Newbury suggests he may need a stiffer test now, while Muntasir showed this trip is well within his compass when just denied at Lingfield latest. Preference, though, is for CORSETRY, who probably didn't stay 1m4f at Salisbury on his reappearance and showed he should be winning before long when a close-up third at Nottingham last time.
Forget Me Not Lane can take the opportunity to achieve his hat-trick, such was the impression made by his recent victories. Among several other interesting contenders, Corsetry and Gabrial's Star have the scope to improve.

PITKIN was something of a surprise winner at Catterick last time but just a 2lb rise for that success looks somewhat lenient. Mick Easterby's charge has been tried over a variety of trips but enjoyed the sharp 7f last time, so this stiffer 6f should suit. Taro Tywod won well when last seen at Thirsk last September but may just need this outing, while Consistant showed up well enough at Carlisle and is another to consider.
Pitkin backed up his debut win 2 years ago with success on his next outing, and Mick Easterby's gelding can repeat that feat here after his recent victory. The 3-y-o Taro Tywod is interesting, though her fitness must be taken on trust, with the consistent Cadmium Loch taken to fill the frame.

Select Committee shouldn't be dismissed off what looks a workable mark, but COMMANCHE RAIDER went very close at Newcastle last time and though up 3lb here, he's hard to ignore now back in form.
