KAT'S MYSTERY, a winner on four of her last five starts, looked better than ever when bolting up over an extended 1m here last time and she will prove difficult to beat if in the same mood tonight. Behold A Lady and Conga Bella may be left to scrap it out for minor honours.
VILLAS STORM produced an impressive turn of foot to win by 3-lengths over this trip at Belmont last time and, with confidence sky high after that first career win, he gets the vote to follow up tonight. Five Shadwell and Fivesixseven are most feared.
SENOR QUICKIE made some good late headway when sixth in a hot contest over 6f at Laurel earlier this month and a chance is taken on him now stepping up in trip. Tripendicular and Allthewayyeah are expected to give the selection most to think about.
Three comfortable wins recently will mean DESERT FALCON arrives here full of confidence and it will take a good performance from one of the others to prevent him from completing the four-timer tonight. Biscay Bay or Aspiring Nick may be closest on hand if the selections slips up.
A chance is taken on BRAHMAN in this opening looking heat. He got within a length of winning over 5 1/2f here last time and stepping back up in trip tonight should help. Bachman (behind the selection latest) and Beaureal are others worthy of consideration.
Bold Intention returned a wide-margin winner at Monmouth last time and warrants respect, despite a rise in grade. However, preference is for DEAD MONEY, who had The Duke Rules behind in this grade when last sighted and looks to be coming to the boil.
Moon Eclipse has improved with each run to date and is respected, having opened his account in a C&D maiden latest. Nevertheless, preference is for MILLENNIUM LAKES, who is open to further improvement around a mile and could have been freshened up by a break. Vitedecreto is another to consider.
LADY LUCINDA needs to raise her game to follow up her recent track and trip success as she now steps up in grade, however, with seven course wins to her name it would come as no surprise to see her finish on the premises. Petrezza and the eased-in-grade Ann's Smart Dancer are also considered.
SHE'SA BEAUTYQUEEN built upon her debut effort when defeated by little over a length here last time, helping force the pace but finding one too good in the finish. Nevertheless, if keeping a little more in reserve, compensation could be in the offing. Mandatory and Empire Diva appear best of the rest.
