LEADING CANDIDATE is at his best when racing at this venue and, providing he isn't found wanting for fitness upon his return from a break, is expected to turn in a big effort as he bids for a sixth course victory. Damiens Way and Noah's Dream are others to consider.
SALLY'S CONTENDER looks to be running back into form and is taken to build upon her recent course second now dropped back to this slightly shorter trip. My Libertine is going the right way and looks the main danger ahead of Pretty Accolade.
Don's Peach is dropped in grade and respected on that basis, although he weakened in the closing stages over 6f at Monmouth last time and over this longer trip, preference is instead for SLUMBER SMARTY, who stayed on well to score here latest and won't be fazed by this extra yardage considering he's a previous distance winner. Cupolatte completes the shortlist.
EL OH EL A rattled the crossbar over track and trip last month and, with her well-being assured, shades the vote ahead of Renaissance Girl, who was denied by just a head over 7f here latest and should relish this extra furlong. Hula Party is unlikely to be too far away either.
Mutiny is entitled to build upon his last-time-out third at Belmont now eased in grade but of more interest is SWEET BERNIE, who found an extended 6f an inadequate test here latest but is better judged on his preceding efforts around a route. Fire King looks best of the rest.
DR. WESLEY impressed when winning a richer prize over 7f at Belmont last time and he could take some stopping if in the same mood tonight. Amongst the dangers are Regal Return and Ride Candy Ride.
It could pay to side with RAIDERS FAN in what looks an open heat. She fully deserved her victory over slightly further here last time following a couple of solid placed efforts previously and another big run this evening looks assured. Sweet Ginger Brown and Victorious Halo are others to consider.
PATRIOT PRINCESS won with plenty in hand over this trip at Penn National last month and, entitled to strip fitter for that first start since November, she is fancied to repeat the dose. Fuming and Preach Easy are feared most.
After a string of placed efforts, MARYLAND MYSTIQUE emphatically got off the mark over this trip at Delaware last time and, with confidence sure to be on a high now, she gets the vote to follow up. Rock On Baby and Sixth And Arch are others worthy of consideration.
A chance is taken on MANCHILD. He wasn't beaten too far when sixth over 5f at Atlantic City last time and the way he finished off that race suggests that stepping back up in trip tonight can only help. Blame The Jockey and Mighty Score make up the shortlist.
