RARE MATCH stepped up on a number of nearly efforts when claiming a much deserved victory over 7f here latest and with that confidence booster under her belt, she is fancied to double up. Her biggest dangers could prove to be Regalian's Revenge and Silly Peach.
RIVERNESS lost little in defeat when a fast-finishing second over 6f here last time and almost certain to benefit from stepping back up in trip, she gets the vote to go one better. Virtual Reality was just over a length behind the selection in that race (finishing third) and shouldn't be far away again, while Cowgirl Marianne also holds claims.
MY SPECIAL EYES was so impressive when landing a similar track and trip event last time and she will take some stopping if arriving in the same mood. D. Frost caught the eye when a fast-finishing second over 6f at Penn National and she warrants plenty of respect stepping back up in trip, while Sidney Anne is no forlorn hope if putting her best foot forward.
TOTAL TALENT was only a length off completing the hat-trick at Keeneland last month and entitled to improve for that first start since last November, she will prove difficult to beat. Majestic Kaz and Potiche could be left to fight out minor honours.
DIRTY BLONDE may well have won over track and last time but for trouble in running and she is very much the one to beat in this contest. Most feared are Talk To Me and Superling.
DENZEL was well supported on his latest outing and is fancied to earn his first victory of the year for a yard in flying form. Louisville Bound is halved in claiming price and has to enter calculations, while impressive winner School On A Hill is respected now stepped up in grade.
GALAXY KAT extended his superb run of form with success at Suffolk and gets a tentative vote in this competitive starter allowance heat. Disarm looks the biggest threat to the selection after his recent victory at this venue, but Lovmeister shouldn't be discounted after getting his head in front in testing conditions at Laurel.
WAYNESBOROUGH got back to winning ways at Penn recently and has placed on his two previous visits to this venue, so he gets the vote. Wellington Wizard won cosily at Belmont when last sighted and looks a major threat to the selection and Rienzi holds solid place claims after a narrow defeat last month.
Sir Newcastle has been in excellent nick of late and looks a solid contender for this prize, however, he fills runner-up spot a bit too often (has finished second five times this year) and is reluctantly passed over. BAY STATE JUSTICE won with plenty in hand a lesser level last month and gets the vote, but The Kat's Eye is reduced in claiming price and shouldn't be ignored.
