The front-running METAL MASTER has been in rude health since joining the Scott Lake barn. He has failed to be out of the first two in three starts and appears the one that they all have to beat. The selection will have a fight on his hands if Royal T. K. O. produces anywhere near his latest performance, while the likely strong pace could set it up for I Know You Can who will be coming with a late challenge.
GOODGOLLYMISSHOLLY is taking a marked drop in grade after finishing a close second over 5f here last month. The return to dirt won't be a problem and she should have few problems in opening her account in her weakest event to-date. Abyssinian Cat is the most exposed in the field and shouldn't be too far away on the back of her second here a fortnight ago, while Markable could prove best of the rest.
KEEPTHEFAITH was a comfortable winner over 7f in better company a fortnight ago and looks to have been found a decent opportunity to follow-up, despite the drop back to 6f. Sham's Favourite produced a fine effort in defeat in this grade last time. He is a danger if in the same mood, while David's Hero put in a career best effort when defeating the selection a month ago and could prove the biggest threat again tonight.
The lightly-raced LIZZIERNA produced a fine effort when stepped up to a similar trip here fifty-one days ago and a repeat of that performance could see her prove a tough nut to crack. Tease is taking a marked drop in grade and could provide the biggest challenge, while I'm The Answer is in good heart at present can't be ignored.
ANOTHER WAY is currently in the form of his life and was a comfortable winner when disqualified and placed second over a mile here a fortnight ago. The drop down to 7f only enhances his chances this evening. Stone Prince has to overcome a seven month absence if he is to land the spoils, while High Flying Fish produced his best effort to-date on his only start over today's trip. He is the danger.
LETTERS arrives on the back of a career best effort at Monmouth Park twelve days ago and appears to have been found another decent winning opportunity by Terri Pompay. Lothar is in just as good form as the selection and should be involved in the finish, while Zeal Power is reunited with winning pilot Maria Charles and represents a barn whose runners are worthy of the utmost respect.
ROI DE VIOLETTE is in good health at present and should have little problem in landing his second career success as he takes a marked drop in grade. Hold Your Patience is fairly unexposed and is open to further improvement. She has been running respectively in sprints against better company and has the blinkers on tonight, while Ernest Cranfield has an impressive record with his first-time runners after claiming them. Air Jones represents him.
L M BLAZER is a consistent sort and is guaranteed to run his heart out again this evening. The drop back to 6f only enhances his chances and he is the one that the all have to beat. Cummerbund is returning from almost a year off the track but can't be ruled out, while Actaeon is likely to be up there with the pace and has sound place claims.
CHEADLES is a consistent sort and has been shipped in by Richard Hendriks who appears to have found a decent winning opportunity for him. Can't Spell demolished his rivals over the extended mile here a month ago and has the advantage of the rail post. He is a threat and is open to further improvement, while Competence clearly does his best at this evening's trip and has sound place claims.
TIMOPOCUS clearly goes well for Harry Vega and they should take all of the beating if in the same mood when narrowly beaten here over a fortnight ago. True Rock represents the Robert Seeger barn. His runners are worthy of the utmost respect, while Royal Runaway could prove the biggest threat as he steps back up from 6f and takes a marked drop in grade.
