The ex-Irish BOSTON HEATHER had a wind operation prior to making her debut for the Dan Skelton team, and she looked a rejuvenated mare when skipping clear of her Uttoxeter rivals. She has been bumped up 9lb but doesn't have many miles on the clock for one her age so there is more to come. Make My Heart Fly made a successful raid on this venue at the end of last month but has a mile further to travel, with Lincoln County put forward ahead of fortunate Cartmel scorer Short Flight as the pick of the remainder.

It didn't take Gordon Elliott long to find the key to Cubomania, who enjoyed a good winter over hurdles. He has had wind surgery since he was last seen but so has CLONDAW KAEMPFER, who also has the benefit of a relatively recent attempt at this discipline under his belt. That resulted in a costly Ayr defeat but Donald McCain's 10-year-old now goes handicapping off an 8lb lower rating than his timber figure. Trongate made the frame over the smaller obstacles here last time and is best of the rest.

Even so, the vote goes to ANYTIME NOW because he has been brought along steadily by Gordon Elliott since returning to action and might be nicely treated for his handicap bow. Traditional Dancer didn't fire on the all-weather last time but is progressive in this sphere, and Mill Forge has become a regular visitor here so could play a part too.

Chu Chu Percy scored impressively over course and distance last month but previously had to settle for third, a place behind CLASSICAL MILANO. George Bewley's gelding is actually slightly better off at the weights with his rival, despite subsequently going one better with a determined display from the front at Hexham. Dun Faw Good still has improvement in him and showed a good attitude to win at Cartmel, so could provide the selection with his sternest test.

CARRIE DES CHAMPS stepped forward from her satisfactory Tramore debut to go in by 10 lengths at Downpatrick. That form might not amount to much but she could do no more than win as she did and appears capable of defying a penalty. Keep The River joins the Irish challenger at the head of the weights following her Uttoxeter triumph and she appeals as the chief threat, although Rashee made an encouraging start to her career when fourth at Kelso back in November.
