HIDDEN MOVES showed plenty of encouraging signs when fifth on her racecourse debut over this trip at Turfway last month and, with further progress likely, she looks the one to beat. Roaring Lucy has shown enough promise in previous starts to suggest that she can go close here, while racecourse debutant, Lady Rococo is another to consider.
OFFLEE BLESSED was mightily impressive when making a successful debut over 5 1/2f at Philadelphia last month and, with this step up in trip not a concern, she can follow up. Ravinaboutgreatnes and Lovabull Me are others to arrive in winning form and wont be without support.
SHAMMY THE BULL showed plenty of encouraging signs when runner-up on his racecourse debut over 5 1/2f here last month and looks sure to take all the beating tonight. Queens Partner is expected to build on a promising debut performance and get the better of Not Without Me for minor honours.
Not a lot to go on here but FINITE JUSTICE has put in three good efforts, finishing ahead of several of these rivals and taking second in much better company here last time. he's obviously still improving and looks the one to be on here. Novel Notion was well beaten last time at Laurel but has claims on his penultimate effort while Regal Warrior is making good progress and might not be to far away.
Philly Bound and Phil The Brit were first and second in a similar contest over a mile here last time and should be thereabouts again while In The Juice was a close second in this grade two starts ago and is another to consider. Preference is for MUSIC CITY, a nose winner in a $40k allowance race at Presque Isle Downs last time and a neck second in a valuable stakes race before that.
With four wins from his last five starts, it's difficult to oppose the claims of RUN SMART ONE here. This is a tough task but he gets weight from his main rivals and should make another visit to the winner's enclosure. Curragh won a $25k claimer over C&D last time and looks the danger while Zone Buster and Perilous Storm can also be given chances.
