Plenty in with chances but preference is for CANDY BOWL, who broke her duck in sensational style when scoring by more than 14 lengths in a $5k maiden claimer over C&D last month. This is tougher but there should be more to come. Impressive Gal won a $7.5k maiden claimer over 6f here last time and has claims if handling the step-up in trip while Perfetto Rose and Ada Belle have shared the minor honours twice recently in similar contests and should be thereabouts again.
Sweep To Glory has been running well in this and higher grades and makes more appeal here than North Park Band and John Honeyman, who are running well but need to raise their games. Preference, however, is for YONABE, an impressive winner of a $7.4k maiden claimer over C&D last month. She campaign with some credit last year in much tougher contests, but since being dropped in grade after switching to Bruce Kravets' barn she's looked extremely competitive.
This could go the way of SLEETINGNTEXAS, second on her first two starts and a winner of her next two. She scored comfortably over five and a half furlongs here last time and, with further improvement expected, should take all the beating here. Cambria Queen, winner of a $7.5k claimer over a mile here three starts ago and close in tougher races, could be the danger if she can make her stamina tell while Gaffney's Grits is inconsistent but scored in this grade over C&D two starts ago and can't be ruled out.
Adams Circle hinted as if in need of further when fourth at Aqueduct last month and this extra yardage looks ideal now eased in grade, but DON SEIS looks the one to beat on speed figures, having posted close to a career-best effort over C&D last month. Clashing Colors and Manhattan Ridge are also considered.
BIG CITY MAMMA was held at Philadelphia last time but the drop back in distance looks ideal and she can make it 3-3 at the trip. Distinct Appeal is progressing nicely and is another aiming to preserve her unbeaten record over 6f. Rein In Avaricity is eased in grade, having contested a $50k stakes contest when last sighted, and completes the shortlist.
KALEIDOSTAR scored over both 4.5f and 6f last month so this intermediate distance is unlikely to derail his hat-trick bid. B'cause B'cause is eased in grade and is more than capable of making his presence felt at this level. Sir Capitulation and Final Freedom also make some appeal and can battle it out for minor money.
It could pay to side with the in-form SOUNDS APPEALING in what looks an open heat. He came agonizingly close to following up a track and trip success over 1m here latest and a repeat of either performance would surely see him go close tonight. Hundred Adams and Wood Dale are others worthy of consideration.
GRAND OLD GAME made a bright start to his racing career when third over 7f at Philadelphia last month and, with improvement expected, he looks the one to beat. Cat Fan has shown enough promise in previous starts to suggest that he can mount a bold bid, while Postal Surprise is an interesting debutant.
DOWNRIGHT JOYOUS has displayed a fair level of ability in both starts thus far and, with further improvement to come, she can make it third time lucky. Wild Flight is taking a significant drop in grade and commands respect, while Trellis' Storm could reach the frame once more.
