Shalambar showed a good attitude to score over 2m1f at Doncaster last month but a 5lb rise for that success makes life tougher. ART BROKER has shown promise in two of his three starts over hurdles and there could be a good deal of improvement to come from him so he is fancied to make a winning handicap debut off a mark of 108. Tara Warrior has each-way prospects and Switched Off should not be far away.
Peace Corps remains unexposed over hurdles and has to be high on the shortlist following his recent Flat win, but Shalambar looks the type to progress further over timber and is worth sticking with. Art Broker is potentially better than he has shown thus far and is another worth considering.

A very competitive handicap and a case can be made for a few of them. FIENDISH FLAME disappointed at Sandown last time but he is capable of better and can go close today if bouncing back to his best. Working Title is yet to reproduce his best hurdles form over fences but he certainly has the ability to make a big impact today. Balzaccio has solid claims while Latanier could figure if at the top of his game on his reappearance.
A tightly-knit handicap in which Latanier is taken to make a successful reappearance. His novice campaign ended with a whimper, but his earlier form gives him a big chance in this grade and he returns with his yard in good form. Chance du Roy, Working Title and Magic Sky look the main dangers.

FINIAN'S RAINBOW has been most impressive on his two chasing starts to date and he appears to have a good opportunity to maintain his unbeaten record over fences en-route to the Cheltenham Festival. Stagecoach Pearl is on an upward curve and he could be the one to ask most questions of Nicky Henderson's representative. Kilmurry and Tail Of The Bank are both useful performers but they have a little bit to find today and appear booked for supporting roles.
A small but classy field as usual for this long-standing graded novice chase. Arkle favourite Finian's Rainbow defends an unbeaten record over fences and can give Nicky Henderson a second successive win in the race. The thriving Stagecoach Pearl could provide the stiffest opposition.

MR BENNETT has shown enough in his four outings so far to suggest he is capable of playing a leading role today off a mark of 115 and it is unlikely that we have seen the best of him just yet. Calypso Bay comes into this in good heart and there is no reason why he should not continue to give a good account of himself while Worth A King's disappointed at Ayr last month but he is capable of better and could figure.
Deep Pockets should be in the mix once more after his latest C&D second, but he's vulnerable to a younger set of legs, and Calypso Bay ticks all the right boxes. Crazy Eyes is just one of several others who threaten to take a hand.

Alfie Sherrin and SILVER KATE have both won since struggling to cope with Wymott on their chasing debuts at Bangor in November but it's the latter who makes more appeal today. A talented hurdler last term, David Richards' mare showed a great attitude to beat Voramar Two at Chepstow last month and she can go from strength to strength in this code. Cannington Brook has bumped into some smart performers on his three chase starts to date but he's a dour stayer and won't give up without a fight.
Silver Kate displayed her usual toughness when breaking her chasing duck at Chepstow last month and has more to offer in this sphere, but it was difficult not to be impressed by Alfie Sherrin's jumping at Wetherby and he could prove too strong on this occasion.

ROMULUS D'ARTAIX showed promise in bumpers and, with the Alan King Stable in such fine form at present, it would be no surprise to see him mount a bold bid at the first time of asking over obstacles. Reginaldinho, Sum Laff and the returning Solaise Express are also high on the shortlist, while Court By Surprise and Radetsky March cannot be ruled out easily, despite having to concede weight to their rivals.
Radetsky March had Penny Max just behind him at Newbury last month, but the latter has plenty of scope and can turn the tables over this trip. Bumper recruits Solaise Express and Romulus d'Artaix are interesting and need a market check now going hurdling.

ELEGANT TOUCH made a really good impression when winning by five lengths on her racecourse debut at Haydock in November and it would be no surprise to see Emma Lavelle's Kayf Tara mare add to her bumper tally before attentions are turned to novice hurdling. Cork winner Fasolo is also entitled to plenty of respect on his first run in this country, while strong market support for Smart Ruler or Dark Shadow would have to be taken very seriously.
Elegant Touch and Go Set Go are the pick of those with experience, but it would be no surprise were the Nicky Henderson-trained Dark Shadow to make a winning debut.
