BLACK QUARTZ was well backed for his debut at the Curragh last time so it was disappointing to see him finish fourth, but the Ballydoyle inmates usually improve a bundle for their first outing and we should see much more from him today. Giopi is nicely bred and should enjoy this trip in his juvenile year. Trainer Dermot Weld has enjoyed recent success in this race so watch the betting. Famous Warrior is another bred to be well above average so keep an eye on this debut effort.

GRACIOUS GIRL ran an excellent race off this mark last time, coming home second in a slightly stronger race over course and distance. She handles a bit of give in the ground and should be right on the premises. A 6lb rise doesn't KO the chances of Lady Look, who won with a bit up her sleeve at Fairyhouse over this trip last time. She relishes some juice underfoot. Veteran Libras Child looked in need of the run when fourth on her comeback at Tipperary last time. Most of his wins have come over 5f but he can run into a place again.

SIXTEEN FORTY TWO has come down the weights despite showing bits of form and this trip could be the key to him. He was boxing on over 6f at Cork last time and this extra furlong should suit. Lord Rathvinden continues in excellent form and was beaten in a tight finish at Down Royal over this trip latest. He's up another 2lb for that but looks solid each-way. Refuse To Sell may prefer the ground slightly faster but he's in cracking form and should be on the premises.

MEAN LAE went down in a photo on her comeback run at Limerick last time and can go one better today. She handled the extended 6f trip there really well and this extra half-furlong should only help matters. Cilium has done nothing wrong so far and was a close-up third in a decent race at the Curragh last time. A repeat of that would see her in the firing line again, while Navajo Princess should step up on a modest debut effort at Gowran with the benefit of experience.

FINAL APPROACH has proven his liking for some give in the ground with a couple of good efforts, most recently when a close-up second at Leopardstown over a mile. He should stay this longer trip and is on the upgrade. Crowfoot didn't get home over 1m4f at the Curragh last time after earlier winning well over this trip at Down Royal. He'll be right on the premises for Aidan O'Brien, while Prayer Boat improved when second here last time and can reach the frame.

ANDRE MON AMI has been in cracking form over this trip, scoring well here two starts ago before running a close second at Fairyhouse last time. He handles some give in the ground and a 4lb rise up the weights shouldn't be a problem. Max Almighty did well on his only start last season, winning with plenty in hand at Wexford over 1m5f. He'll be a threat if fit and ready for this comeback run. Bannow Rose has been going well in maiden company and is on a fair mark if repeating the form of her second at Tipperary last time.
