GAITWAY shaped with lots of promise when sixth on his return from a 25-month absence at Cheltenham in December and, entitled to strip fitter, he could prove extremely difficult to beat in this lesser event. Touch Kick can be his own worst enemy at times, often pulling too hard, but he has lots of ability and shouldn't be far away, while Crackdeloust is a fascinating player on his first outing since November 2015 and can hopefully show than he maintains plenty of his old ability. Cesar Et Rosalie and Dear Sire certainly aren't ruled out but both disappointed last time.

A disappointing contest to have for a solid Saturday card at Musselburgh with only a handful of these coming into this with winnable claims. LANDMARQUE would have finished closer here over C&D had he not made a bad mistake at the third-last and is entitled to find further improvement for the application of first-time blinkers. Chain Of Beacons ran on nicely here over 2m4f last month which suggested the extra half-mile would be an advantage, while Top Cat Dj ran a lot better than has been the case when ahead of the selection last time and looks best of the remainder.

Soldier In Action won four times on the Flat for Mark Johnston and it will be fascinating to see how he fares on his NH debut, but it's often best to side with past hurdling experience in this type of event and PROJECT BLUEBOOK sets a very high standard. The Sinndar gelding has improved in each of his three starts over hurdles to date and was mightily impressive when scoring on his handicap debut over this C&D last time. ALVARADO only found Vicente too good when second from this mark in the Scottish National last year and he made promising return to action when sixth at Cheltenham back in November. He came down at the second in the Beacher last time out and he will need to go up a few pounds in the ratings to get back into the Aintree Grand National, in which he finished fourth in 2015. WHISPERING STORM went out like a light on stable debut for Neil Mulholland at Huntingdon last time but he has plenty in his favour now and could be worth chancing. A hood and tongue-tie are refitted and the booking of Noel Fehily for the first time over this shorter trip could spark improvement from the seven-year-old.
