In a wide-open event marginal preference is for AF AFHAM, who bounced back to form when second at Abu Dhabi earlier in the month. He should have the pace to take advantage of a good draw now returned to dirt and the seven-year-old could be hard to catch if able to dominate. Sa'ari has to be of interest following his Al Ain victory, although a 6lb rise will make life tougher for him here. Sand Storm Aa had Kassou Hipolyte (third) behind when winning over a mile here last week but the quick turnaround has to be a slight concern for both of them. Others to note are Listo De Faust and Ammar.

Legend Of Cannes has to be of interest having scored over an extended 1m1f here a month ago and a 4lb rise for that success appears to be fair. That said, preference is for SENSE OF WISDOM, who caught the eye when filling fifth here last time. The son of Shamardal did not get a clear run on that occasion and would have been in the mix for the victory with more luck. With that in mind, Bhupat Seemar's gelding has to be of interest off the same mark. Wessall returns to turf on a workable rating and should not be underestimated, while Valdivia and Berkshire Nugget also merit consideration.
POSTER PAINT took a step back in the right direction behind Legend of Cannes here 4 weeks ago and can come out on top from his old rival. Stablemate Sense of Wisdom is another to consider.

Nedawy outran odds of 100/1 when fourth in the Jumeirah Guineas Trial a couple of weeks ago and he is bred for dirt as well as ideally drawn on the rail here. That said, he showed very little before that run and may be one to not trust fully. As a result, preference is for AWAB, who bolted up on his debut over C&D in November and has not been disgraced in much better races than this subsequently. Stall nine is a concern but the son of Street Sense may be able to overcome that in this company. The shortlist is completed by Sir Harmony, Diamond Dealer and Desert Shield.
AWAB wasn't beaten far in the Guineas and has obvious claims back down in grade. Nedawy might be the danger ahead of Sir Harmony.

MILLION DORO is unraced on turf and remains a maiden but his recent dirt form has been very encouraging. The four-year-old has the pace to handle this drop in trip and, unlike many of these, he has potential to improve now changing surfaces. Al Muzn sets the standard as he has filled second place off a 1lb lower mark the last twice. The first of those occasions came in a stronger event over C&D but stall 12 is not ideal on this track. Similar comments apply to Ocean Runner, while Matloob should not be underestimated given his connections.
OCEAN RUNNER arrives on the back of his best effort yet when fifth at Jebel Ali 4 weeks ago and, comfortably one of the least exposed, he could be worth siding with now his attentions switch to handicaps back on turf. Al Muzn comes here on the back of a pair of solid runner-up efforts and he's feared. Laguna Boy and Million Doro are others worth a second look.

The unexposed CUPID'S DREAM arrives here on the back of two encouraging defeats since arriving in the UAE last year. The son of Dubawi didn't stay 1m2f when third in a maiden in December and he really caught the eye when tiring late on after a very wide trip over C&D last time. He is much better drawn here and it would be no surprise to see him play a leading role off a 2lb lower mark. Magic Petition is another likely to get a good trip from a low draw and he could make the frame once again. Elraaed won well at Jebel Ali at the beginning of the month but this is a more demanding task. Sikorsky should not be underestimated following a promising return to action last month and he merits each-way consideration.

Given the strength of his UK form it was no surprise to see CREATIVE STORY readily score off an opening mark of 87 over C&D last month. Charlie Appleby's gelding was raised 8lb for that success but he beat some useful rivals easily and still looks well handicapped. Native Approach was given too much to do when a beaten favourite in the Al Fahidi Fort last time, but he has a similar profile to his stablemate and could prove to be the main threat. Embesto has some questions to answer but if close to his best the five-year-old would be in the mix.

It is hard to be overly confident about any of these, so a chance can be taken on ALWAREETH. Jockey bookings suggest that he is not the pick of Salem bin Ghadayer's trio, but he easily beat Ghost Of The Mambo under Jose Santiago over 1m2f at Jebel Ali in November off just a 3lb lower mark. He made the frame in a much stronger event over C&D in December and was not beaten far by Mouser when fifth at Sharjah two starts ago. That latter piece of form could be key here as the first eight home that day all reoppose. Meqdam may be next best as the aforementioned Mouser is 9lb higher. One who should not be underestimated is Desert Snake, who has yet to prove that he handles dirt but is dangerously well handicapped if he does.
GHOST OF THE MAMBO's consistency at this sort of level is hard to knock and back up in trip, he's awarded the tentative nod in what is an open contest. Meqdam is weighted to reverse Sharjah form with Mouser and is a threat, along with Desert Snake down in class.

No Retreat is bound to be popular after his second here a week ago and it is hard to see Fawzi Nass' colt finishing out of the frame. Warsong returned from a lengthy break when second over 6f here last month. The four-year-old showed plenty of pace that day and didn't seem in need of a step up in trip, although his finishing effort may have been down to the layoff and not lack of stamina. With all of this in mind, a chance can be taken on FALCON OF ARABIA, who was a staying-on third behind Warsong four weeks ago. Unlike the Godolphin representative, the son of Speightstown looks set to relish this extra furlong and that form gives him a big chance. Those looking for an each-way alternative should consider Story Of Light, while Jungle Mac and Lahfaty are also noted.
