THE MIGHTY DON looks to leave a fall in the Grade 1 Kauto Star Novices' Chase behind him in what looks a much easier contest and the form of his earlier chasing appearances suggest he may take plenty of beating here. Monbeg Zena went into the notebook when comfortably scoring at Southwell on his first start for Olly Murphy in December 2018, but hasn't been since and now switches to fences. Colorado Doc did little wrong when second on his chasing debut at Hereford last month and now steps up in trip following some fine efforts in defeat this season.
THE MIGHTY DON needs to keep the errors at bay, yet there is no doubt he will find this much more suitable than recent assignments and he can get off the mark over larger obstacles. Colorado Doc is doing nothing wrong in defeat himself and is feared, whilst Monbeg Zena is interesting, particularly if market vibes are positive around her.

BALGEMMOIS got off the mark over fences here at the third attempt last month and appeals as the type who has plenty more to offer in this sphere. A 7lb rise in the weights might not be enough to halt him as there is clearly something about this track which brings out the best in him (also placed over hurdles here). His supporters will be pleased to see James Bowen keep the ride and he can get the better of Cuban Pete, who boasts a similar profile, and Smuggler's Blues.
BALGEMMOIS showed plenty of stamina when off the mark at the third attempt over fences here 19 days ago and remains open to further improvement up in trip again. Cuban Pete rates a serious threat back down in class, with Cougar's Gold best of the others.

SERMANDO opened his hurdling account over a similar trip at Huntingdon last time and, given his unexposed profile, there is a good chance he can defy a 4lb rise to follow up. Starsky took a step in the right direction when third over 2m3f at Taunton last time and is the one expected to put up most resistance. The pick of the remainder may be Flash De Clerval now he makes his handicap debut.
The two that stand out here are the unexposed 6-y-os STARSKY and Sermando. The latter seemingly had a bit left up his sleeve when getting off the mark at Huntingdon and is feared greatly off just a 4 lb higher mark. However, preference is for Starsky, who took a step forward at Taunton, form which has been franked since, and further improvement is anticipated. Ballyhome is best of the rest.
