Cosmic Statesman showed ability in two starts over hurdles last year but he appears to be on a stiff enough mark for his handicap debut over hurdles. THE KVILLEKEN is not the most prolific of winners but he often runs very well and arrives here just 1lb above his last winning mark, although his rider's lack of experience is an obvious concern. Vivas also brings solid form to the table and the first-time tongue-tie may bring about some improvement.
VIVAS is knocking on the door and could get an answer this time now fitted with a tongue tie. Cosmic Statesman is interesting going handicapping in this sphere for his new yard for all he's 0-20 under Rules, while The Kvilleken will probably be thereabouts once more.

Plenty of these have chances but ALIZEE JAVILEX brings strong bumper form to the table and she can be given another chance after finding one too good when an odds-on favourite on her hurdling debut back in January. Lost In Lecce and Wildehearted Woman should put their hurdling experience to good use, while Tinted Rose and Wizard's Sliabh both looked to have bring futures when winning bumpers last time out.
Better was expected of ALIZEE JAVILEX on hurdles debut at Huntingdon in January given her useful bumper form, but she's bound to step up on that and she could well be the answer on her return to action. Lost In Lecce has more to offer too, while Tinted Rose is bred to excel over hurdles.

WILLOUGHBY COURT achieved a decent level in bumpers and caught the eye when staying on well in the Grade 2 Aintree bumper to finish fifth behind Bacardys. The son of Court Cave can only improve for the step up in distance on his hurdles debut. La Vaticane looks to set the standard on chase form having won at Wincanton two starts ago by 23 lengths but her main rival unseated when posing a challenge and she has flattered to deceive on several occasions, looking a weak finisher having travelled strongly through races. The step up in trip would also be against her so preference is for ACTINPIECES, who ran well on her chasing debut behind Ballybolley before unseating at the final fence and has more to offer now stepped up to 3m for the first time. MR BURGEES made a decent impression at Uttoxeter last week, making use of a new headgear combination and shorter trip to virtually make all despite a late scare over the final fence. The son of Westerner is 3lb well-in and should be tough to beat if the blinkers work their magic once more. Bar De Ligne has a reputation as a course specialist and Brian Ellison has his string in excellent order currently, while Violets Boy made a pleasing return to action after a long absence recently and has to be feared.
MR BURGEES left his stable debut/return well behind when scoring in this headgear at Uttoxeter last week and he had enough in hand that day to suggest he can defy a penalty. Violets Boy showed he still has plenty to offer after a long absence when runner-up at Southwell and can follow the selection home.

Anthony Honeyball does well with his runners here, boasting three winners from just 10 runners at the Lincolnshire venue. He runs two here and a tentative vote goes the way of ROYAL SALUTE to get the better of his stablemate, Unify. The selection was unfortunate to bump into the likes of Yanworth and Buveur D'air last season before eventually getting off the mark at Fontwell in April, and a reproduction of that effort would see him land this. Duhallowcountry can land the final podium spot.
