STONE QUERCUS readily saw off a subsequent winner when making every yard of the running at Perth and, although a penalty will obviously make life a lot tougher, he looks the most solid option as he bids to follow up. Cape Of Glory and King Julien are two big dangers but both have questions to answer. The latter didn't look the most resolute on the Flat and his jumping is an unknown, while King Julien disappointed on the Flat last time following two encouraging efforts in this sphere previously.
CAPE OF GLORY was presumably purchased with hurdling in mind during the summer and this looks a good opportunity for Keith Dalgleish's charge to make a winning start over timber. Stone Quercus' Perth form was boosted when the runner-up won a handicap last week and he's narrowly preferred to King Julien for the forecast spot.

Near To Tears will be looking to put her hurdling experience to good use and has a definite chance on her C&D third last November, but of more appeal are the two Flat recruits, TAURIAN and Feeltherhythm. The latter has placed in two of her three starts on the level this year and there is no reason why she shouldn't take to this game, but Ian Williams' charge is rated 17lb higher on the Flat and looks the one to side with as she sets out on a new career over timber.
A low-grade maiden which will probably go to either TAURIAN or Feeltherhythm, with Ian Williams' mare easily preferred given her superior Flat form.

THELIGNY has a lovely profile, progressing with each start thus far, and arrives on the back of a comfortable Kelso/Huntingdon double in maiden and novice company respectively. RYALEX is a winning pointer and could take all of the beating given he's shown ability in two starts over hurdles at Kelso and Perth. Grove Silver has been knocking on the door of late, with six consecutive second or third-placed finishes, and he looks sure to be on the premises again. The Irish raiders, Castletown Bridge and Our Sox, have plenty on from their marks but cannot be completely discounted.
Tony Martin's runners over here are always to be feared and OUR SOX might be up to getting off the mark over fences having run well over hurdles when last seen at the end of August. The consistent Grove Silver could be the one to give him most to do if ready to go after 5 months off.

SENATUS did well to finish second at Uttoxeter on his debut under Rules in May given that the four-year-old struggled to settle in the early stages and the winner is rated as a smart prospect for the future. Karen McLintock has shrewdly booked former National Hunt rider Graham Lee for the ride and the son of Early March should take this before moving onto better things. Sergio cost current connections 30,000 euros at the sales last year and is bred to be smart for Tim Vaughan, while Drums Of War looks best of the remainder.
