CUSTOM CUT was narrowly denied when runner-up at Killarney last month and a reproduction of that effort might be good enough to see him go one better this afternoon. Quick Jack finished behind him on that occasion but he should improve for his debut experience and if he does he could pose a real danger. One Fine Day should also improve with her debut run under her belt and she can get involved.
One Fine Day may not have cost much but she showed enough on debut to suggest she is good enough to a win a maiden and is fancied. Romantic Stroll and Quick Jack make the most appeal of the others.

Captain May has shown some promise in maidens and he is an interesting contender on his handicap debut but it might be worth giving another chance to QUILL AND VELLUM. Jim Bolger's representative was most disappointing on his handicap debut at Dundalk but he was dropped 3lb for that which enables him to contest this 47-65 event. Aragorn Icon has each-way claims and Jeangeorges is no forlorn hope on his best form.
Though he has failed to fire in 2 starts so far this term, C&D winner Jeangeorges could be the answer to a trappy-looking handicap back in headgear. Refuse To Sell is feared most, with Naked Cowboy the pick of the remainder.

SWERVE is becoming a little disappointing but she still has time on her side and the step up to 1m will suit so she is given another chance today. The other three-year-old, Kedleston, was collared in the final stride at Killarney last time and he is respected here even though he might not be allowed to dictate. Maundy Money is nicely handicapped on his best form and he should not be overlooked.
Tommy Stack's duo, Cnocan Diva and Kedleston, are both high on the list, particularly the latter who has a bit in hand of the handicapper at present. However, the vote goes to Swerve, as she is better than her effort at Gowran indicates and represents a yard that does well at this track (24% strike-rate in recent seasons).

SHARP AND SMART justified the strong market support to make a winning handicap debut over 7f at Tipperary last month and although a 10lb rise looks a little harsh, there could be more to come from her as she steps up to 1m. Coppertop posted a much improved effort over 7f at Gowran Park last time and the step up in trip should suit so she makes the shortlist, along with Misteireach and Red Laser.
Despite the handicapper taking a swipe at Sharp And Smart following her victory on handicap debut recently, the Dark Angel filly is taken to follow-up here, perhaps at the chief expense of Coppertop who also showed improved form on her latest start. Dark Danger can pick up minor place money.

The Real Article, a classy hurdler, got the better of two capable rivals back on the level at Killarney last month and although he concedes weight to all of his rivals today, another big run looks assured. Dare To Doubt is a very capable hurdler/chaser and she is a very interesting contender on her Flat debut. However, NOTABLE GRADUATE finished runner-up in a Listed contest last season and if he produces that form here then he could be hard to beat.
If back to his best Notable Graduate will take some stopping here, but preference is for Elyaadi who showed enough in this sphere in 2011 to suggest she could ruffle the feather's of Dermot Weld's charge.

Moby Dick has run well on his two outings over hurdles to date and he has place claims but the biggest danger to the selection could be Alexandr Nevsky, who is better than he showed at Sligo last time.

PARK RANGER performed with credit on the Flat last time and although he is yet to score over hurdles, his best form certainly gives him claims this afternoon. God's County struggled in a competitive Punchestown handicap, won by Snap Tie, last time but his previous form would give him a big chance in this company. Headford Lady is yet to take to hurdling in two attempts but she is a capable Flat performer and she should not be written off just yet.
God's County deserves to get his head in front, but may have to settle for another minor role, as Park Ranger looks superior on form to Tony Martin's charge, and should be spot-on following a good effort on the Flat last month. Hurdling debutante Mrs Henderson is most interesting of the remainder.
