MAJESTIC ZAFEEN showed plenty of promise in maidens for Mick Channon earlier in the year and, although subsequently sold to Alastair Lidderdale for 13,000 pounds in August, looks to have been found a suitable opening here now upped in trip for her handicap bow. Ice Loch produced his best effort yet when fourth over this trip at Kempton latest and has place claims if building upon that effort. Now slipping down the weights, Compton Target is also worthy of consideration.
Compton Target continues to fall in the weights and can take advantage in a weak event. Ice Loch appeals as the main danger.

SAFARI SUNSEEKER has earned an official rating of 75 for his maiden performances to date and a reproduction of his latest effort, when touched off by less than a length (fourth) over this trip at Kempton, would probably suffice here. Peter Winkworth's charge raced a little wide that day and wants marking up for the effort as a result. Boris The Bold finished back in eighth on debut in the same race but is expected to better that effort with the the benefit of experience now behind him. Now dropped in trip, Duke Of Clarence is also worthy of inclusion on the shortlist.
Safari Sunseeker sets the standard and probably wouldn't need to improve to win this, though Duke of Clarence and Boris The Bold are less exposed and unlikely to be far away.

The booking of Kieren Fallon aboard IRONS OF FIRE suggests trainer George Baker feels his representative can turn the tables on last-time-out conqueror Rowan Ridge on 3lb better terms in this seller. Kames Park landed a C&D handicap last month but has raced twice in quick succession in the aftermath and may ideally be in need of a little break. Dew Reward generally gives his running at this level but has a little to find with the principals at the weights and is probably vying for minor money at best.
There wasn't much between Rowan Ridge and Irons On Fire in a C&D handicap a fortnight ago and a 3 lb pull in the weights looks enough for the latter to turn the tables.

Wreningham has been in rampant mood at Southwell lately and is respected now returning to a surface known to suit, but he has gone up 5lb in the weights for his latest effort so preference is for GRIFFIN POINT. William Muir's charge was chinned by a head at Wolverhampton on Wednesday but is allowed to race off the same mark here and therefore looks weighted to strike soon. Even Bolder is always respected around these parts and can go well having dropped 8lb below his last winning mark and with Seb Sanders a notable booking for the Eric Wheeler yard.
Royal Bajan shaped as if in need of the run when returning from a short break at Wolverhampton last time and can get back to winning ways with that behind him. Wreningham and Griffin Point head the dangers.

NOVELLEN LAD has dropped to a good mark, one which he hinted he was ready to exploit when chasing home a well-handicapped winner over C&D latest. Willie Musson's charge races off the same mark here and with Kieren Fallon getting the call for the job, a big run looks on the cards. Clear Praise shaped with promise on his all-weather return and has claims if his stamina holds out over this longer trip. Whaileyy is respected on his first start for Marco Botti and also merits consideration, along with Jeremy Noseda's progressive three-year-old, Triple Charm.
Triple Charm should go well on her hat-trick bid but may have to give best to Novellen Lad who left the impression he was ready to strike when runner-up over C&D last time. Taajub also makes the shortlist.

Sulis Minerva is back down to her last winning mark and warrants respect, along with prolific course winner Chjimes, who is 3lb lower than when scoring over C&D in February. However, both are vulnerable to less exposed rivals and of more interest is PAPERETTO, who showed plenty of dash until weakening late on over 7f here last month and is unexposed over sprint distances. If this drop in trip elicits improvement from Robert Mills' representative, a prominent showing could be on the cards.
The well-handicapped Chjimes has his optimum conditions back here and gets the vote. Paperetto and Custom House look best of the rest.

Competitive fare to close the card and a chance is taken on SILVER WIND. Alan McCabe's representative ran well over this trip at Wolverhampton on his penultimate start and was far from disgraced in fourth when upped to 7f here on Wednesday. Rapid Water has a race in him now eased in the weights and is capable of making his presence felt but the main danger appears to be dual C&D winner Speak The Truth, who was denied by just a head off 2lb lower at Kempton last time.
Quite a few can be given a chance, but the well-handicapped Rapid Water hasn't been with Gary Moore long and, despite a wide draw, gets the nod. Super Frank and Silver Wind look the chief threats.
