Jumping has proved a problem for CASTLE WINGS, who has fallen twice from five starts over timber, but he seemed to get his act together last time at Gowran Park, when a close second. He has very little to find on that effort to score here. Naas 'bumper' winner A Fine Young Man has been placed in both starts over timber but needs to improve while Noble Pageant is clearly going the right way but still has something to find. Firebird Flyer, a well-beaten second at Cork on his hurdling debut, is another to consider.
A Fine Young Man has run 2 solid races in defeat over hurdles so far and looks to have been found a much more winnable contest this afternoon. He should have too much for Castle Wings and Firebird Flyer.

This might not take too much winning and it's worth taking a chance on TAILORS HILL. He has clearly progressed in his three starts and is running a lot better than his form figures would suggest. He has little more to find to land this. Inish Island landed a Clonmel 'bumper' last time out but has been well beaten on two starts over timber while Murchu landed a NH Flat race at Listowel but was a well-held fourth at Fairyhouse on his hurdling bow. Changing Times and Jeunopse have shown signs of ability but both need to improve.
Murchu caught the eye when a never-nearer fourth on his hurdling debut at Fairyhouse last time and looks to have been found a very winnable maiden. Inish Island and Jeunopse boast solid each-way claims.

After two near-misses, TRIFOLIUM ran out a hugely impressive winner over 2m at Cork this month to add to his two wins in 'bumpers'. This is tougher but, given the ease of that success, he should have little trouble following up. Plan A failed to complete at Cheltenham last time out but wins at Fairyhouse and Listowel this autumn make him the danger here. Mister Carter hasn't developed as expected since landing a maiden hurdle here a year ago while Devils Bit scored at Gowran Park three starts ago but has failed to finish twice since.
Mister Carter was still to be asked for his effort when failing to complete in Grade 1's on his last 2 starts in 2010/11 and, with a recent run on the Flat behind him, is taken to improve past the likes of Trifolium and Plan A.

Unbeaten hurdler SIR DES CHAMPS put in a faultless display on his chasing debut over an extended 2m5f at Fairyhouse earlier this month and, entitled to have learnt a great deal from that experience, he should have few problems scoring again. The progressive Knockfierna rates the biggest threat after her easy Grade 3 victory at Cork while Four Commanders, sporting the Gigginstown second colours, may have to settle for third place.
Knockfierna may have created a good impression when scoring at Cork a fortnight ago, but she has nothing like the potential of Sir Des Champs over fences and Willie Mullins' representative can take the step up in grade in his stride. Four Commanders looks best of the rest.

FAHAMORE could prove difficult to beat on his handicap debut. Edward Harty's charge has edged closer to the target in each of his three maiden starts over two miles and stepping up five furlongs in trip should eke out a fair bit of improvement. Rockshandy, a two mile winner here in May, is entitled to strip fitter for his comeback run at Wexford last month and has definite claims, while Mister Watzisname could go well at a price.
Quite a tricky race but Whiskey Hall has plenty going for him, just 1 lb higher than for his last success and at a meeting where he ran well last year. Handicap debutant Fahamore is an obvious danger, while Rockshandy and Bonifacio can battle if out for minor honours.

It's difficult to look past QUARRYVALE. This seven-year-old confirmed her recent wellbeing with an easy all-the-way victory over 2m2f at Thurles last Thursday and a 6lb penalty is unlikely to be enough to stop her if in the same mood. Twice The Craic was in fine form before his break and warrants respect now returning, while Cranky Corner is more than capable when on song and could be dangerous to leave out of calculations.

He stepped up on a satisfactory debut performance when third at Cork last month and any further improvement is sure to see him in the shake-up this afternoon. Royal Vic was only a quarter-of-a-length behind the selection in that race and should give another good account while Star Of Massini, Kilcrea and point-to-point scorer, Clonbanan Lad, are others to consider.
Kilcrea made a promising start over hurdles at Gowran earlier in the month and can get off the mark at the first attempt in bumpers. Star of Massini has a bit to to prove after disappointing last time, but still has to be feared, and looks the main danger along with Royal Vic.
