MISTER BOB has shown improvement for the application of cheekpieces and the step up to two miles the last twice, including when scoring at Lingfield most recently. A 3lb rise shouldn't prove too prohibitive if connections have now found his optimum trip. No Such Number was behind a subsequent winner when fourth at Yarmouth and can do better now the handicapper has eased him in the weights, likewise for Dr Finley, who was behind that rival in fifth. Ice Apple was ahead of Berwin last month and can do well from this basement mark.

Watch out for: No Such Number (4)

This represents a drop in class for Jezza and Ermyn Lodge, but it's hard to assess what shape the pair are in at present, so Mister Bob and No Such Number look the duo to focus on. The former ran out a ready winner at Lingfield last month and holds sound follow-up claims from 3 lb higher.

SPELLBIND shaped as if she might have needed the run when third at Newmarket and can get off the mark at the fourth attempt. Aragosta could be the biggest danger if she is fully wound-up for this reappearance as she was a promising third in May after a year off the track and has clearly retained plenty of ability. She must concede weight to younger horses like the selection and Noble Descent, who was well backed on debut at Lingfield and is entitled to improve for that experience.

Watch out for: Aragosta (1)

Interesting to see what the market makes of the Godolphin newcomer Tayma, though she is drawn wide and connections are also represented by the standard-setting Spellbind, who can put her turf experience to good use here. Aragosta is the chief form rival.

ROCK KRISTAL cost 130,000gns and posted a pleasing introduction over seven furlongs when finishing third so she gets a tentative vote with that experience under her belt. Endless Time - a 180,000gns daughter of Sea The Stars - also showed plenty of promise when a close fifth at Newmarket on her racecourse bow and should have plenty more to offer. Her stablemate Heart Of Africa will need to show much more than she did at Thirsk, so perhaps the newcomer Justify deserves closer market inspection for leading connections.

Watch out for: Endless Time (2)

Unless Justify is a very useful newcomer, this is highly likely to develop into a match between Rock Kristal and Endless Time. Both shaped well on debut, particularly the former, who is open to plenty of progress after finishing third in a decent-looking 7f maiden here 2 weeks ago.

Weekendatbernies got off the mark on his handicap debut at Epsom and a 4lb rise could prove lenient if he can can reproduce a similar display. Incredible Fresh is a major player now qualifying for a mark after finishing runner-up at Thirsk, while Eye Contact can't be written off for leading connections. Bethan is out to end a run of four straight third-placed finishes at Yarmouth and she remains on a decent mark, while Atalanta Bay is two wins from eight starts on a synthetic surface and cannot be overlooked. Slight preference is for ELEGANT OPHELIA, though, as she ran well for fourth behind subsequent Salisbury scorer Sleeper when in search of her hat-trick here a fortnight ago, and she's holding her form admirably.

Atalanta Bay is low mileage for a 4-y-o and gives the impression there's more to come back on polytrack, but Ssafa is interesting starting for a new yard after a break, so is marginally preferred. This represents a slight drop in grade for Tilstarr, and he deserves a mention, too.

GOT TO DREAM absolutely bolted up on her first start for Mark Johnston at Beverley last week and the Irish recruit is entitled to have improved for the run. With that in mind, a 6lb penalty might not be enough to stop her going in again and she'll no doubt be ridden prominently coming back in trip slightly. Stable companion Fire Fighting is capable off his current mark and cannot be overlooked, while Jarlath is no stranger to success here and he arrives buoyed by his Newbury triumph.
