It doesn't get much worse than this with none of the nine participants having any recent solid form to their name and most of them being fitted with headgear of some description. Minimal stakes are advised and GREATEST DANCER is merely a sporting selection now eased into this grade having found handicaps beyond him the last twice. Mr Knightley is feared most now dropped in trip while there may be more to come from Nude, who hasn't had much racing over 7f.
Greatest Dancer is the only winner in the field and with blinkers plus Kieren Fallon booked, he makes the most appeal of a limited bunch. Mr Knightley is similarly dropped in grade and also tries the same headgear, which could produce an upturn in his fortunes. Nude is also a contender if blinkers bring her back to life.

Despite the small field it has attracted, this two-year-old contest remains an interesting one with all but Fen Flyer making some appeal. Jubilance and Hamble have both demonstrated their effectiveness over this trip in the past and arrive here on the back of solid turf efforts recently when finishing runner-up in their respective races. However, it might be worth chancing SHERE KHAN's stamina holds out over this longer trip, as he was putting in his best work late on when scoring over 6f here last time.
Hamble looks the most progressive of the principals, and is therefore fancied to regain the winning thread at the chief expense of Jubilance.

TANMAWY ran his best race to date over the extended 1m at Wolverhampton last month and having been headed in the closing stages that day, this slightly shorter trip can only be deemed a positive. Sinchiroka shaped with promise on his seasonal bow over 7f here last time and is feared most now upped in trip, although a chance is also given to Brinmore if he is able to reproduce the form of his Goodwood second over this trip from back in June.
Any money for the newcomer Young Dr Jekyll could prove significant, but as things stand Tanmawy gets the nod just ahead of Brinmore, the latter showing form only on turf so far, disappointing when tried on polytrack last time.

Daffydowndilly caught a tartar here last time when beaten into third by the well-treated Earlsmedic but is entitled to improve upon that effort off the same mark on what is only her third run of the season. However, the vote goes to TISLAAM, who split the aforementioned pair last time, is also racing off an unchanged mark, and has the benefit of a better draw over the re-opposing third. Sherjawy and Danzoe usually go well here and are others to consider.
Daffydowndilly was just behind Tislaam when they clashed over C&D last week, but the first-named is a progressive filly and holds every chance of winning the argument this time. Torres Del Paine broke his duck when last seen here in December and if fit for this belated return could also take a hand.CKW

Planetoid wandered under pressure in the closing stages at Newmarket last time but managed to cling on to land a double. However, the runner-up A BOY NAMED SUZI wasn't helped by his rider dropping his whip towards the finish and the placings may well be reversed now he takes on the first-named on 4lb better terms. Qahriman left a favourable impression when running away with a Ffos Las maiden last time and is another to consider, although the handicapper has taken no chances by handing him an initial rating of 85.
Planetoid just got the better of A Boy Named Suzi when they crossed swords at Newmarket 3 weeks ago and the pair are taken to lead the field home again. Twice Bitten reserves his best for round here and is another who should go well.

The form of Professor John's Brighton second has been subsequently boosted by the winner, Celestial Girl, who followed up at Epsom on Monday. Ian Wood's charge is respected, racing off the same mark once again, but preference is for PRICE OF RETRIEVAL, who benefitted from the step up in trip when fifth in a Leicester maiden last time and could be capable of defying a mark of 50 on his handicap debut here. Newby Lodge (engaged here yesterday) has been in good form recently and is another to consider.
Professor John is just about the pick of these on form, and is preferred to recent winner Prince Blue, with Appyjack not dismissed, although the last named has stamina to prove at this trip. Also Newby Lodge must be taken very seriously after a win over C&D on Wednesday if allowed to take her chance, a chance boosted by the fact she goes unpenalised.
