LORD LARSSON is progressing pleasingly and can maintain his improvement. He beat two decent sorts at Newcastle and will have no problem with ground conditions. The dark horse is hurdling debutant Touch Of Irish in receipt of 6lb. He was an excellent second in the Class 1 Aintree bumper last year and a respectable fifth in the Punchestown equivalent behind Cousin Vinny. His absence is a concern though and the market should reflect his chance. The solid Sea Storm is next best.

However, his yard is in the hottest of form and he could well have found his true vocation over fences. A 12lb rise is not a surprise but HIGH BIRD HUMPHREY is preferred. His previous performance when a close second to Fairyland also reads well and he can oblige with trip and ground to suit. Description is an obvious threat, having displayed massive improvement since joining Sue Smith. He is up 14lb for two wins and that may anchor him here against the selection. Starr Flyer, unlucky last time, has claims on his previous second to L'Eau Du Nil.
