John Gosden has his yard nicely forward and Invisible Man is a most interesting contender. Backed as if defeat was not contemplated on his Great Leighs debut, he displayed promise but at no stage looked like justifying expectations. He may well be much better than that but the form of MAKAAMEN's debut second at Newmarket behind the potentially useful Evasive looks stronger and the Selkirk colt gets the vote on that evidence. Money for Mark Johnston's debutant, African Cheetah, would be noteworthy.

YOUNG MICK enjoyed a productive spell in Dubai, his visit highlighted by a good second to Age Of Reason and victory over Classic Punch in valuable handicaps. With fitness assured, he can score at the expense of these opponents, the majority of whom return from absence. Tastahil remains lightly-raced and the gelding may take after his sire and thrive with age. He ended last term with a fine third in the November Handicap. PALACE MOON has only had the three runs so it could well be that he will find the hurly-burly of this too much at this stage of his development. However, he showed loads of talent at three and the son of Fantastic Light can only improve at four. He is worth chancing off this appealing mark. Harrison George had a splendid 3-y-o campaign and looks sure to enjoy another good year, but he may just need this and find conditions a little too fast. Barney McGrew is a tough handicapper and can be competitive here.
