Time For Spring is an interesting contender equipped with a first-time tongue-tie, the nine-year-old having shaped on recent occasions like a horse who struggles to breathe. Charlie Longsdon's charge warrants plenty of respect in this grade, with similar comments applying to Larteta. Sarah Humphrey's gelding will be ideally suited by track and trip this afternoon, but it's THORESBY who shades the verdict. Ben Case has an excellent record around here and the C&D winner is only 1lb higher than his last winning mark. He should go well after a 35-day break, while the penalised Shadarpour is worthy of a mention, too.
Shadarpour hasn't been consistent to date but landed a gamble in good style from another well-treated rival at Plumpton and is fancied to go in again under a penalty. Brians Well catches the eye with McCoy booked on his handicap debut, with Larteta and Boomtown also respected.

UNE ARTISTE, a really useful hurdler, made a solid introduction to fences when second at Plumpton last week and Nicky Henderson's mare should be able to open her account over the larger obstacles this afternoon. Baby Shine ran as if her fall on chase debut was still lingering when runner-up the last day, so Tempest River looks the main danger to the selection. Ben Case's charge was a ready winner here last time, travelling well off a strong pace, and will have no problem with the step up in trip today.
Une Artiste was foiled on chase debut at Plumpton last week, but looks to have been found a good opportunity to break her chasing duck and she gets the nod. Baby Shine improved for her chase debut when second at Market Rasen last time and ought to go well, with Tempest River fancied for third.

KELTUS receives a hefty weight-for-age allowance from his rivals and Paul Nicholls' charge, who was fourth in a useful juvenile hurdle last time, will be ideally suited by this course as he likes to bowl along in front. Nicky Henderson fields two runners and despite jockey bookings suggesting that Springinherstep is the stable first string, she didn't look an easy ride last time, so Karazhan might prove a bigger threat to the selection. The five-year-old returns from a lay-off on a surface he will relish and looks fairly handicapped on last term's form. The same can't be said for Chat Room, while Prompter's attitude is under question following his second last time (looked reluctant to go past).
Prompter is clearly very competitive from this mark, but his resolution was again called into question at Wincanton last week. With that in mind, it may pay to side with Springinherstep, who is evidently thought to be well treated given the market support last time and is presumably the choice of Barry Geraghty. Roberto Pegasus' sixth on handicap bow is strong form, so he commands respect.

An excellent renewal of this Grade Two with proven top-level performers on show. Riverside Theatre is favoured by these race conditions and the 2012 Ryanair Chase winner brings the best form to the table, but he had a below-par campaign last term and his running style (often detaching himself before powering home late) could make him vulnerable around this tight course. This looks the obvious starting point for Captain Chris, who much prefers going right handed, but he does have to concede weight all round and Philip Hobbs' charge probably wants more of a stamina test these days. Champion Court will enjoy bowling along in front here but might find one or two too good so GHIZAO shades the verdict. The nine-year-old is likely to have had this race as his target for some time and, with a decent record fresh and the ground to suit, he is taken to make a winning return. Module was unlucky not to score on his seasonal bow at Exeter in a race that has worked out particularly well and Tom George's charge will appreciate the step up in trip here. He rates the biggest danger to the selection, with Conquisto not dismissed out of hand either.
A cracking renewal that may go the way of Champion Court, who was still in with a shout when blundering away his chance 3 out in the Paddy Power last month. Captain Chris and Riverside Theatre are obvious dangers if returning at the top of their game.

Faith Keeper was well backed after a long lay-off at Towcester last month and the eight-year-old ran with real credit, travelling well before tiring late on. He has every chance here off the same mark but he could easily 'bounce' as well. NAMIBIAN, last seen running at York on the level in 2011, achieved a Flat rating of 112 and will take all the beating if transferring that ability to timber this afternoon. MINELLA PRESENT finished third in a Tipperary bumper back in June, shaping with plenty of promise on that occasion, and this son of Presenting can make a successful debut for Neil Mulholland in the finale. Brother Tedd has an interesting pedigree as a son of super sire Kayf Tara and warrants respect, while Paradise Valley is also worth a second look judged on his breeding. Princeton Royale, second in an Irish point-to-point, may find things happening too quickly in this heat.
