NOBLE ALAN was head and shoulders above these rivals over hurdles and should be capable of making a winning debut over larger obstacles if putting in a clear round. Knockavilla showed some useful form over timber but chasing was always likely to be his game and he could pose the main danger ahead of The Panama Kid, who was not knocked about after his chance had gone on his chasing bow at Sedgefield.
Three stand out in this maiden chase. Description and Knockavilla are both likely to win races over fences but will probably struggle to cope with Noble Alan, who is likely to be one of the leading novices in the North this season.

The other Irish raider, Give A Little, is worthy of consideration if the market speaks in her favour and the same can be said for Ferdy Murphy's recruit from France, Stuff Of Dreams.
A chance is taken on French import Stuff Of Dreams, who wouldn't have to be a world-beater to win this if anywhere near straight after a long absence. Dual course winner Quivvy Bridge and Give A Little are the obvious dangers.

Romantic Bridge could also be well handicapped and commands respect given he is the Welsh wizard Tim Vaughan's only runner on the card. Oscar Owen and Uttoxeter winner Peter's Star complete the short-list.
Zaffarella bears the hallmarks of a mare to follow this term, her prospects bolstered by this step back up in trip. Oscar Owen also enters calculations, in-form Peters Star and Amalfi Coast not out of it either.
