Midnight Uno made a pleasing start to his racing career when fourth over a similar trip at Southwell last week and should play a leading role here, but the vote goes to OLYMPIC CEREMONY. This Kyllachy colt represents the yard that took this prize twelve months ago and multiple big-race entries suggest that he has been showing plenty at home. Rock Of Love is entitled to have learnt a great deal from his recent debut at Pontefract and is another that cannot be ruled out with any confidence.

DUNES QUEEN wasn't disgraced when fifth behind the potentially top-class Fantasia in the Group 3 Nell Gwyn Stakes over 7f at Newmarket just over three weeks ago and, with much less on her plate tonight, she could prove a cut above these rivals. Jobe ran encouragingly in a Listed event at Ascot recently and rates the biggest threat, while Agente Parmigiano didn't appear to get home when fourth over 1m at Lingfield last time and is another worthy of consideration with this drop in trip likely to suit.

Royal Society has improved with each start thus far and seems sure to be in the thick of things here, but ROYAL DIAMOND can land the spoils on his debut in handicap company. He made good late headway in two of his three starts over shorter trips last year and this greater test of stamina can only help his cause. Mark Johnston took this prize in 2006 and has another solid chance here with Kochanski. This King's Best filly has been knocking on the door recently and must be high on any short-list.

Apache Ridge was 7 lengths behind the selection on that occasion (finishing sixth) and looks his most likely danger, while Bootleg is likely to be much better than his debut sixth suggests and could well be worth a second look in the betting market on his first outing for eight months.

She won with plenty in hand over a similar trip in claiming company at Redcar eight days ago and looks capable of getting more than competitive off her current mark. Howard Johnson's Heureux ran well on his latest outing at Thirsk in August and could be worth closely monitoring in the betting market on his return to action.
