Verdict

Highveld raider ABBACADABRA was second to a promising sort on debut round a track similar to Greyville. She didn't do too badly in her second start and her form overall makes her the one to beat. LADIES DAY was given a positive ride racing from the front and almost got the job done only finding one better. She has the best of the draw and can make it count. PERFECT APPEAL wasn't too far off against males last week and with fitness on her side should put in another honest bid. RASPBERRY BERET improved on her debut to finish third in a competitive race last week. She can confirm.

Verdict

PELARGONIUM wasn't disgraced on the poly and around the turn last time. She was backed in that and finished ahead of AUNTY LIZZY who re-opposes. PELARGONIUM should appreciate being back on the turf and can make better progress. PURPLE MERCHANT came back to form after dropping in ratings recently and is now back over the track and trip where she is one from one. After needing her last run she should be dangerous. Highveld raider LOOKING HOT didn't enjoy it last time but now at a peak in her third run after a rest should put in a better performance.

Verdict

Nothing jumps out on form. SYX HOTFIX has only had two starts and runs like he could do with the longer distance. He has gone from two good draws to a wide one and only the race will show if he stays. BOMBAY CIRCUS ran a fair race over a bit shorter last time and could relish the trip. He has been improving and can put in a bold bid. ATLANTIC CITY showed stamina on the poly and may hold form on the turf. GREY LINNGARI has the stamina to be competitive but has had his chances and could just find one better - unless this is his day. THE GREEN GALLANT is the upset type.

Verdict

MORE THAN A DIME loves racing at this venue especially after a rest. The way she won her last race suggests she will be hard to beat again. She has also drawn perfectly. JACQUELINE, however, came back to her best impressing on the poly. With her confidence up she could give the former a hard time - only problem is the draw. MORE THAN A DIME's stable companion CRIMEA has run well in higher grades and could be the biggest danger if ready after a rest. She has gate one and needs to be taken seriously. RISE and BASETSANA are not without hope.

He ran a brave race from the front in the Gauteng Summer Cup and on that, and ratings, should be the one to be with. FAVOUR is the one that will test him. Verdict

Lovely race. Most have useful ability and the exotic bets could take off here. NOBLE SNIPER has been brought along the right way and should have every chance from a decent gate. PREEMPTIVE STRIKE is holding form and finished ahead of the former despite an injury so can confirm having drawn well again. PASHTUNWALI and LOVE ON TIME both improved to win their maidens and could have more to come now making their handicap debut. QUEUE WING flew up in thrilling fashion to win and could get the race run to suit in this big field. More with claims to consider.

Verdict

Another difficult handicap. TIME TAKER ran a fair race last time out and can continue from where he left off before a rest. FIGHT SONG may not have enjoyed the longer trip last time and racing from a break could see him show his best so must be taken seriously.
