GENIUS STEP ran a promising debut when third at Newmarket in May, keeping on well in the closing stages to suggest he'd come on for the run and also appreciate this extra furlong. The Godolphin representative is a brother to an Italian Group 3 winner and looks the yard's main hope ahead of debutant Okimono. The principal dangers appear to be Richard Hannon's pair Juvenal, who is expected to improve for the switch back to turf, and newcomer Impel, an Excellent Art colt.
Genius Step may have had a problem to have been off since May, but Frankie Dettori keeps the faith, and he looks the best prospect in this field. Expense Claim is better than he could show over C&D last time, and is respected, while Sunley Pride looks the pick of the newcomers.

The experience gained that day is unlikely to be lost on Mark Johnston's filly and compensation could be in the offing now stepped up in trip. Welcome Gift shaped with promise on debut over 7f at Newmarket latest and is another expected to improve over this longer distance. Samba King looks the pick of the newcomers and should be monitored for support in the betting market.
Good Morning Star was nailed on the line on her debut and is taken to go one better this time. Godolphin may provide the main opposition, with Welcome Gift an obvious danger after his debut second, and newcomer Samba King a likely sort on paper.

Richard Hannon's three-year-old Silenzio warrants respect turned out under a penalty after landing a 0-75 at Folkestone last week. However, this represents a tougher assignment and it might be worth siding with NIGHT TRADE, who ran a cracker on slow ground over C&D last time, finishing second off this mark behind Tagula Night. Recently bought out of Debbie Sanderson's yard, he is just the sort with which his new handler excels. Any cut in the ground would boost the claims of Sharpened Edge, although 5f looks his optimum trip. Of more interest is Aye Aye Digby, beaten by a head off 2lb lower at Brighton on his penultimate run.
Rash Judgement is well treated upon his return for Stuart Kittow and could get back to winning ways at a track where he's gone well in the past. Silenzio finally got his head in front at Folkestone last week and has claims again under a penalty, while Night Trade, Jungle Bay and Muffraaj also need considering.

A steadily run race helped DEBUSSY stay 1m4f to score in Listed company at Chester last week but Godolphin's charge is arguably better over this shorter trip and has to be high on the shortlist now seemingly back to form. Mirror Lake won a Listed contest over C&D last season and may be capable of building upon a series of credible efforts in defeat of late now returned to his favourite venue. Prince Siegfried arrives here on a hat-trick having landed Group 3 honours at Windsor last time, a victory which has incurred him a 3lb penalty here, and is another to consider.
Godolphin hold a strong hand with both Prince Siegfried and Debussy coming here on the back of a recent win. The former is marginally preferred, with the doughty Measuring Time looking best of the rest.

ESTOURAH showed promise in maiden company, including a third-placed effort at Newbury behind Carlton House (albeit well held) so it came as little surprise when he was denied by just a head on his handicap debut at Kempton last time. Off 3lb higher there may be better to come from Godolphin's Dalakhani colt now he is equipped with a first-time visor and switched back on turf. Billy Buttons also went close on the all-weather last time and is respected on his handicap bow while Mariners Lodge, touched off by a head off this mark over 1m2f here latest, is another that should be winning sooner rather than later.
Mariners Lodge ran a cracker here last time and he could prove the answer in a very competitive event. Estourah and Neumark are both open to further progress and are respected, while strength in the betting for Mafeteng would look significant.

A market move for Blimey O'Riley would be interesting as he returns from a huge absence but completed a hat-trick when signing off his season in 2008. A big run from Estourah in the preceding race would boost the claims of his last-time-out conqueror, Yes Chef.

SEAMUS SHINDIG gained compensation for a pair of near misses over 6f here recently when scoring at Bath earlier in the month and is taken to defy this drop in trip to follow up off a 3lb higher mark. Go Nani Go remains 3lb higher than when scoring at Nottingham in July and is weighted to make his presence felt, while a big run from Mata Hari Blue would not surprise as he was far from disgraced when third at Sandown last time out and sees his weight burden eased by both the handicapper and the allowance of apprentice rider Lucy Barry.
Go Nani Go has had excuses since his last victory and looks to have been found a good opportunity to return to winning ways. He can get the better of Seamus Shindig and Mata Hari Blue on this occasion.
